I suspect it's a waste of time. The gov know they can do what they like to the public, once they've stopped us driving anywhere or staying warm I will expect a charge for fresh air in my own garden at some point.

impossible to have any decent bet with any bookmaker online these days, until they are forced to a decent liability as a condition of their licence, horse race betting for anyone who wants to bet more than a tenner is finished, so affordability checks are an irrelevance imvho.
The sooner it forces a tote monopoly the better for everyone.
