I agree,unbearable but he loves it…..
By:
Yep. Milking it for everything for his TV career
By:
He's an absolute narcissist. Boring attention seeker. The media utterly predictable.
Result, the maudlin **** the punter has to endure. Good job..........as ever |
By:
**** = sheeite
By:
Agreed, totally ridiculous and incredibly boring.

Thank god…I thought it was just me. Amen.

Worst start ever him winning the 2000
By:
Great jockey but I totally agree...FFS it was Chaldean that won the 2000G,not him...pity Chamberlin and Cumani didnt read your post just now....usual vomit-inducing gush and pish from them

Normally i'd say something like this is easy to avoid if you really wanted to , but this isn't.
Way over the top and tedious to the extreme. |
By:
Royal Ascot will be unbearable, with all that time to fill.

By:
No mention of the white powder lines.

Body cam FRANKIE

Unless you are one of the cheerleading media very hard to disagree.
Has anyone else ever done anything similar? Most people retire on the spot, perhaps giving their closest a bit of notice. He wanted the whole world to know a year in advance. Total nonsense. |
By:
Please !
Weaver is as bad squawking voice and hand movements ffs TV racing is falling apart….. |
By:
By:
+1 but it's the way of the world nowadays. Frankie chose to create this situation, the media muppets go way OTT and then they all try to pretend the situation is organic. Gonna be a long year!!

Dreading the Thommo gig.

AP announced his very early iirc.
Part of it is surely cynical, to get the good rides. He obviously craves the attention as well. |
By:
The Italian eyeballs scan the parade to see who is watching him…..I fear the depression will set it once he becomes a spectator and forgotten fodder…..
By:
How early did AP announce it? As far as I can remember there is no comparison.
By:
Google says 11th Feb, retiring end of season, so about 3 months.
By:
So less than three months compared to more than a year?
By:
Frankie is the most famous jockey ever ....his brand his massive.....he is building the brand....he will not fade away .....something is coming !

This is what you asked. I'd say it's similar. Announced way before necessary, months ahead. And was getting all the obvious 'last Cheltenham' 'last GN' 'last rides at this course', et al. It was not as long, but easily as cynical from someone who up to then, did not particularly court attention. Obviously Frankie is looking at getting 'finale' rides globally, not just domestically. |
By:
cant agree that Frankie is the most famous jockey ever, not many older people outside racing would know anything about him, but as a kid even my great grannie without knowing a thing about racing knew of a certain L . Piggot
By:
Don't suppose any of the worshippers noticed the terrible ride given to Saga. Racing Post saying of Saga "looked a little unfortunate" ffs.
By:
elisjohn , Lester Piggot barely even got a mention om Sports personality of the year in December . Memorable only to people in their 50s
60s etc. . Piggot also got beaten inthe late 70s and eighties on horses through over confidence, Frankie made far less mistakes in his last few years. Also managed to stay out of prison. |

By:
A tap down the shoulder and a wry smile from the great rider…..no howling and squawking, can you imagine him doing that silly jump off ffs….
