Both clearly good fillies. But happy got one of my 19 runners to turn over the jolly. The gods always favor the bookies. Job done.

No pocket talking, Hayes is a proven bridle merchant. I kept waiting for him to switch the whip, but he kept taking his horse into the winner who was leaning in. She wanted to go right, just let her go.

Another ding-dong at The Curragh on 28th May? I'm fairly certain Tahiyra will show up, will Mawj though? If so, 7/4 Tahiyra; 5/2 Mawj.

Prices for Coronation Stakes (23rd June); Mawj (6/4); Tahiyra (7/4); Never Ending Story (8/1); Meditate (12/1).
By:

When: 07 May 23 17:32
I doubt Mawj will go that route impossible,Tahhira likely to come on a lot for today and Mawj likely tried over further imvho?

I think Mr weld would not have run his filly today if he was the owner. Instead would have waited for the Irish version on 28th May. Nevertheless, a very good effort. I'm glad her pilot looked after her today.

Tahira will very probably go Ire 1000 guneas and Mawj Coronation says Jane Mangan

Plenty of these likely to revert to sprinting before gradually being upped in trip,Royal Ascot probably being the testing ground for the future if the ground is not too testing, pun intended!!

Will they meet in the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot about 4 weeks later? I hope soon . I hope Meditate turns up too as it was a non-event for her on the tacky ground.

I was toying between Dream of Love and Mawj. Pleased I sent with Dream of Love. Oh well

As per usual the more Dermot Weld talks down a horse, the more he really thinks they're a bit special. Unreal performance from his filly which I thought was getting there comfortably for a three length victory but for Mawjs superb attitude. Great race

Meditate was smashed on interestingly and was never looking like landing a blow. Strange weekend for Ballydoyle

Nothing strange,AOB was careful and said "Most exiting we have ever had" about Rodin as opposed to the best ever seen So You Think etc?

Words are cheap and easy, always from AOB,people soon forget he thinks,"So He Thought"!!!

If they run at RA on summer ground I'd be with Tahiyra big time. I may be wrong, but I think she will be miles better on faster ground. It would not surprise me if she didn't come of the bridle in June. However, I regret that DW may go for the Irish 1000 and leave the Coronation there. She looks a horse that runs well fresh. With so little to go on I could be completely wrong!

When: 07 May 23 21:55
You would be wrong. Mawj is better on better ground. Thats the best 1000 guineas you will see for a long time, it was a good field and the 1st 2 are both exceptional.

interesting Honcho ( I assume you are replying to me). I take a different view. Whilst I agree about the depth of the form, and the fact that each of the front 2 might improve for better ground, I just think The DW horse is faster and should.....should.... be better on good to firm. We shall see. I think she may improve past the winner who has run a good few more times. Wouldn't be dogmatic about it though. Good luck

M won the DoC stakes at NM on good to firm. You can't be slow doing that. T is smaller and not as good a physical specimen as M and today was her best chance.
