|
By:
Alex Salmond
Blackford tried to replace him - But was blustered out of it ... by himself. They did have a Queen, though .............. until recently. |
|
By:
Wonderful state occasion Acey, you should embrace it won't be long before the younger generation abolish the monarchy and then you'll be left with the likes of Thatcher, Blair, Trump or Biden as the head of state, would you really want that?
It will be the first coronation i've been alive for and probably the last, i won't see much of it as have to go out most of day but will see highlights later i expect. |

I am all for the Royal Family - stewarts - But ...
This all just a load of Over-Religious Propoganda Archbishop WELBY thinks it is HIS day - Not King Charles's. ![]() |
|
By:
Such a shame his mum is gone. I'd have liked to see a hand-over. I hope King Charles will do the honourable thing when his turn comes.
|
|
By:
"May the King live FOREVER" -
On a par with the impossible - 'Virgin Birth' - that one. |
|
By:
Stop taking the mickey! Coronation is a solemn occasion. History cannot be changed.

By:
Agree Onlooker, this religious claptrap is not for me either, but as in all probability this country will be a muslim state in the future, we should do our best to enjoy these state occasions whilst we can.

I enjoy the interior and architecture of Westminster Cathedral. And, bits of the ceremony; music not my taste either. How come no Jerusalem or God Save the King?

By:
Harry looked forlorn at the entrance. It's good he turned up to show respect for his dad, and his grandmother who symbolised the Mornanchy and Commonwealth.

But - The false Yank TV actress - Devalued all that.
What was he thinking? |

Wonder what grub they'll be having at the "do" afterwards back at the palace?
Definitely mini sausage rolls and cheese and pineapple on sticks, imo |
|
By:
Have flicked over now to have a look. All very impressive I must admit. Must cost a solid fortune though.

Next one will be even more pompous possibly modern too. I cannot believe how well-behaved the children of Prince and Princess of Wales. They looked very smart too.
