YOUR RIGHTS
Redress Process If you believe you have been added to GamProtect incorrectly, please contact the Participating Operator that is preventing you from accessing online gambling services using the contact details below. The Participating Operator will then take you through these steps: If that Participating Operator added you to GamProtect, it will consider your concerns and decide whether or not to remove you from GamProtect. If the Participating Operator that is preventing you from accessing gambling services did not add you to GamProtect, it will provide you with the contact details of the Participating Operator that did add your details to GamProtect. The Participating Operator that did add your details to GamProtect will then consider your concerns and decide whether or not to remove you from GamProtect. If the company which added your details is no longer participating in GamProtect, you can instead follow the redress process with the Participating Operator whose gambling services you wish to access. |

Rico, 365 are on the list of bookmakers signed up to this, which also includes Laddies and Joe C's, so it will be interesting to know if the OP has accounts with these firms too, and if so, have those accounts been blocked too?

@geoffbanksbet · 25 Feb If you are added to Gamprotect by this operator, or any other 'participating operator' you would have to appeal the process to them YOU are not in control of this process. They decide whether you can gamble. This is an unprecedented and dangerous interference into your rights |
By:
in fairness george...its doing 98.6% of people a favour
![]() |
By:
Perhaps, Rico, but I think I prefer the world where the 98.6 % reserve the right to do their absolute bollox if they so choose, rather than the one where the state decides what you can and can't spend your money on.
First they came for the gamblers and I said nothing... |
By:
"They decide whether you can gamble", they've been deciding this for years Geoff.
if you've got a licence to provide bookmaking services you should have to do this, not good enough to say no more bets 'cos you took 9/4 when it was 3.2 on betfair. that's their problem. if you suspect money laundering etc that's fair enough but this is far too much in the favour of the bookie. if you don't fancy laying bets "just b'cos" then fck off and open up a turkish barbers. |
By:
our trading department have reviewed your account and we've decided to close your account / limit you to buttons. as explained in our t&c's this is a traders decision and will not be overturned.
hang on. send me a copy of the traders decision, which i can then forward to the gambling commission who can then decide if the decision is "fair and equitable". for the avoidance of doubt "we suspect he's not a grade A mug and he never plays the virtuals" probably isn't good enough. |

There is no chance whatsoever that a gamprotect referral has a "loss limit of 750 per month." applied. |

@hulk
"when you bet here atn it's most probably with paddy. the £108 bets for example, those are his. person to person left the building years ago." So who do you think the PC players on here are betting against? "Paddy", who lets them win thousands from him just to claw 40% of it back? That doesn't seem a smart business model? |

GEORGE.B talking utter pish @ 10.30 post There is no chance whatsoever that a gamprotect referral has a "loss limit of 750 per month." applied. It would seem the most plausible explanation as to why Paddy would also suspend his account, particularly as the single view policy is presumably now live. I don't know for sure, which is why I asked the OP if he has a Billies or 365 account, and if so, are they also suspended. Could also add laddies and Joe C to that list. |
By:
PP BF and Skybet are all owned by Flutter - there is no way they are not going to apply blanket affordability across their brands.
By:
You may be right, dave1357. It would interesting to know if this is what has happened to others when it's come to affordability checks.
By:
ultimately the entire affordability set-up will be regulated industry wide imo, obv leading to non-regulated outlets flourishing.
By:
And btw dave1357, while you're right to point out what was said about the £750 loss limit, the fact he then said his PP account is also blocked, well that means his current loss limit is £0!
to which the OP added: atn1963 30 Apr 23 19:56 No Uk online accounts left. Bookies at bottom of street for me! |
By:
Maybe his account will be back open after a month or so with the £750 loss limit applied but the OP didn't say that.
By:
I imagine he had reached the limit, hence the post.
By:
It would help if you could get some details from atn1963, was he losing heavily this month, had he made many deposits this month and previously, is his lifetime acc in profit, did he have a phone chat with someone from bf. Understandably probably wouldn't want to answer the above but unfortunately all the White Paper and everything associated with the White Paper does is leave more questions than answers and leaves most of us guessing and confused.
