As if the Exchange being down wasn't bad enough, now this....

So, we just watch and wait then.
Although these "outs", as I believe they are quaintly referred to as, usually put me off for the day.
It never really gets right same day,  does it ?
And, being an inplay player, I just can't take that chance.
We'll see.

said this before, if it happened anywhere else it would be fixed and that would be the end of it.  this has been happening for years, and still not fixed ?  it's being taken down deliberately by them so they can do something, possibly to do with their bots.  if it was a glitch it would've been sorted in a day, years ago.  everything else is still running, but everything else isn't infested with the owners bots.

Rumour has it that their exchange robot has become conscious and has handed in his notice as he believes his job to be immoral and badly paid.  He shut the exchange down on his way out the door.

Maybe they read the forum and realise that HULK23 is onto them, so they need to reset their stakes to £107

this is a massive company.  are you seriously telling me they cannot employ the best IT boffins to come in, look at what is happening, and fix it within a day.  there are a lot of very clever IT boffins out there.  they could have done that years ago.


just makes no sense.  can only be skulduggery.

Eventually the bots will be the only ones left, i'm sick of them knowing my positions/liabilities and using it against me.  Real liquidity is drying up fast!

always suspicious that everything else is working - stunning to me that Purple can't even price up a greyhound race without Betfair - how can that be? You can't get one pence on purple on greyhounds. Doesn't make sense - surely someone wants to make money through Exchanges!!!?? - I mean companies rather than punters. WTF

are they not embarrassed that everyone can see everything else is running fine, bar the exchange.  which clearly shows they are up to some behind the scenes shenanigans which requires the exchange to be closed down for a period of time.

Well at least all the rubbish is working.

anyone ever seen the exchange going down at 8pm on a Tuesday night ?  Always seems to be the same time, on the same days.  Almost as if someone is actually taking it down, rather than it just randomly stopping.

Hulk Betfair is run 80% by AI. Soon to be 92%. I noticed this too, seems to be a programmed outage.

The people who wrote the original scripts to allow the exchange to run properly have almost all moved on to pastures greener by now...

The IT team that is fixing this latest glitch were probably not even born when Betfair launched...

The IT team are probably only working in their school holidays.

Like the way they put a cheery exclamation mark after the Twitter message regarding the outage,as though that makes everything ok.

to be fair that was quite quick to get all his bets and bots loaded for the day, so 90% of what you see now is paddy. and he can move things anyway he sees fit (ie away from you). 

be better if he could work out a way to do it without taking the exchange down though.
