Nice to have just the 2 meetings today after a very hectic day yesterday where hardly got chance to look at much form in any detail. Had a good look at the 1st 2 maiden races at Stratford as was considering going before deciding card was too tricky and would take to long to do the form. These are pretty diabolical races with very little form of any description on offer, my first thought was that the Fav in the 1st race is very opposable Carrigeen Kampala, form amounts to very little with just a near 5 length 3rd in a bumper behind Letterstown Lady probably her best performance followed by a 17 length defeat at Worcester in a C4 but 3rd and 4th have done nothing to enhance the form. Looks to me to be between Hales French Import Ilary Du L'ecu and the unraced but well bred Telefenny trained by in form Greenall and Guerriero. it wouldn't be the greatest surprise if a complete rag won this though. In the 2.15 again i felt the form of the early fav Three Macks was pretty poor as well but the 10lb claimer means she's getting 18lbs from nearly everything else and could well go clear here on this front runners course, if she does get caught then i think Lady Gwen has the best form to close her down. As a wild outsider Baby Sham could possibly have an EW chance dropped in distance, won on the flat off 56 and placed off 60 over 1m, 10fs, what caught my eye is that Shamus Mullins has a 40% SR over hurdles at Stratford, 6 winners, 2 2nds from 15 runners for a £30 LSP. Pretty impressive i'd say and what this horse does have that most of the others don't is experience of jumping 0-15 but has ran well to two out over further at NA and Fontwell. As stated just a speculative EW selection at 50/1 ish on here.
Thought O'Briens horse would lead but Hales pulled herself into the front instead, just the 2 in it and CK backers were rewarded with some 4/1-9/2 IR. Terrible race though, don't ecpect the 2.15 will be any better.

She was an expensive project for my juvenile hurdler thread a couple of seasons back, having been selected five times but only making the frame once. Funnily enough, the horse that saved my bacon on that season's thread - Gavin - went and won the race after today.
It's a funny ole game, Saint.
