Hulk if billy bunters are too lazy to realise better prices on the exchange then they deserve to lose out on the fractions...
By:
Back it on here then.

if billy bunters are too lazy to realise better prices on the exchange then they deserve to lose out on the fractions
isn't there a big push for safer gambling and protecting the punters ? how is turning a blind eye to bookies returning a 15/2 shot at 9/2 protecting anyone ? |
By:
The 15/2 and the 9/2 are NOT the same bet though are they?
By:
I reiterate, if punters dont realise they are being fleeced then they should not be punting at all.
By:
add to the fact the price on here was the win only market price...
By:
two boards. one to win, one to place.
shouldn't be offering bets on a horse to win the race at each-way prices ... |
By:
nwts - and that is a partial explanation for the difference!!.
By:
What's to be done? They offer goods that can be got at much better value elsewhere. It's like paying £3 for something @ supermarket a..when you know it's available @ supermarket b for £2. IF they had no buyers at their selling odds they'd have no choice but to bring them into line.
By:
Chapman continually tells punters the exchange prices are Win only as if place prices were not available on here. But there again maybe he has a reason for not telling people about the place markets.
By:
Hulk
Two boards ? |
By:
2 markets
1. win 2. place do away with each-way. want that do half on win, half on place. |
By:
bookies are always watching bad each way races like a hawk. this would do them a massive favour i'm very surprised they haven't looked to bring it in.
By:
Look on the websites they do pick your place ,so you can bet 2 places 3 places 4 places etc
By:
if i walk into hills tomorrow will he offer me a win only price for a win only bet ?
or do i need to place my win only bet at the each-way odds he's displaying. (win only would be nearer the win market odds shown here) |
By:
I would doubt it in the shops hulk although they have enough screens ,but I think between the online bookmakers there will be win only markets on many races.
By:
Incidentally why should they be nearer here ?
By:
so if i walked in today and said i see you're going 9/2 famous clermont and i understand why because of each way betting. but i only want a win bet so how about 7/1 or 15/2 ??
By:
If they were 16s today in an ew market they’d still be 16s in a win only market. The place terms would get worse though.
By:
Well if went to aintree today you would have got 7/1 in places win or each way
By:
It was percentage wise a very good each way race for bookmakers paying traditional place terms ,the online would be first 4 or 5
By:
if you wanted to back epatante to beat Const Hill, no places, no each way, just Epatante to win the race.
bookies were giving you 14/1 the win BSP was 36.0 - 35/1 nobody should have been given 14/1 that horse to WIN that race. that's robbery. |
By:
Again there were bookmakers at aintree betting win only and I would be surprised if no online we’re offering a win only market
By:
that's like walking into a casino, sticking a bet on an individual number and he pays you out at 14/1
![]() you wonder how these guys are making money ... |
By:
Maybe there not
By:
back a horse at 9/4 when it's 2/1 they'll send you an email telling you to fk off.
but they're happy laying 35/1 shots at 14's. 137.41/1 shots at 50's .... double standards ?? ![]() ![]() |
By:
Don’t give them your business then just bet on here
By:
ISPs are a disgrace. The fact that tote guarantee to pay no worse than ISP tells you all you need to know.
Where is the transparency with the formulations? Why is % per runner even a thing? It doesn't apply in other countries, it doesn't apply on the exchange. |
By:
I agree biscuits when the pandemic came they were allowed to do there own sp as a temporary measure, the online / high street bookstore have far to much power they even dictate to the bha now.
By:
i don't jim. but lots do.
so next time i see a fred or a hills advert telling me how much they care about you (the punter), take a break, don't chase losses yadda yadda. i'll expect a bit at the end saying, oh and by the way we've introduced separate win and place markets to "protect you" from getting a new a'hole ripped with our filthy each way prices. |
By:
if you're backing 36/1 shots at 14's you cannot win. they know that.
shows how much they really "care" for you when they take your £20 win on Epatante at 14/1. |
By:
The man who sell a cup of coffee for £3 plus has a much bigger margin
By:
That's the way of the world all over. Everyone(with the odd exception) out to skin each other for as much personal gain as possible. All for 1 and 1 for 1.
By:
so anyone that backed epatante win only at 14/1 gets their accounts closed on the basis they don't know what they're doing and need to be protected ?
maybe a brief explanation of how they would've won an extra 22x their stake on here had it prevailed. |
By:
they are big on protecting people, aren't they ??
By:
Second race at Taunton today. SPs 7/4 2/1 and 5/4 on the first 3 in 9 runner race. This has nothing to do with ew market. Total rip off.
By:
Hulk as I am sure you already know they appear to protect people because they are told to.
Perhaps all these punters should bet on here I should think if they knew everybody wins on here they would. |
By:
Saw that jackdaw , 113% the top three in a 9 runner race whatever the race status is diabolical.
