Bookies ready to skin the once a year punters

Last year's winner ISP 50/1.  BSP 29.  BSP Place 19.5

They slipped up there.

As usual will get dozens of complaints from punters who backed the first 4 home saying i thought i was on at 1/4 the odds.sad to say anybody who backed the winner or a placed horse will have to wait 30 mins for the national bets to settle this year.Unless the guy or gal behind the jump can work the bet out.

simples - you are gona beat sp and 1/4 odds - are punters this thick re likes of sky etc

i get it wiv once a year punters re nationa; but sly are different gravy in shaving off 1.5 pts for an extra place in loadsa these races - and seem to be getting away wiv it - nee bog etc

high street bookmakers will pay 6 places on line but only 5 in the shops complete rip off

If you were buying a camera you would expect to get better value online than in a shop with bricks and mortar overheads - why not when placing a bet?

Cost of hotels in Paris are much more expensive when the olympics are on than they are at the moment what a rip off,as for the cost of strawberries at Wimbledon compared to Aldi is scandalous.

Nothing makes any difference to a once a year punter, they are clueless about value, so don't really deserve any alteration to whatever rubbish the bookies throw at them.

If people want to engage with businesses that rip them off then let them IMO. It's not like it's hidden. Unlinke some of the dodgy trainers/riders etc etc in racing...

I'd also add the nature of betting is adversarial - everyone has to recognise that, whether a regular or casual punter. No-one's forced to take part in it.
