Yes ,  and battering into three horses , riding dangerously , having the whip in the wrong hand and at no point making any attempt to switch it and straighten up are all irrelevant to UK stewards.  It won by more than a head and thats all they care about.

The Stewards were unable to be satisfied that had the interference not occurred WINKLEVI (FR) would have finished in front of CEDAR CAGE, as the latter had made strong headway from several lengths behind WINKLEVI (FR) entering the straight and appeared to be going clear and getting on top in their battle when the interference occurred before winning by 1¼ lengths. In relation to SOCIAL CITY, which was beaten 3¼ lengths they were also satisfied that CEDAR CAGE had not improved its placing by virtue of causing interference to that runner and therefore ordered the placings to remain unaltered. Eddery was suspended for 4 days for careless riding as he had allowed his horse to drift left-handed for an extended period without timely correction and when insufficiently clear of the aforementioned runners, thereby causing increased interference.
