Quite amazing how many bookmakers this week were showing how much money they were taking in cash ,10,000 in cash just sitting by the rails board for the cameras to show ,a punter having 1000 each way in cash the bookmaker taking part in the charade in front of the cameras,it’s only a matter of time before one of there colleagues as the subject of a vicious attack and robbed of there cash,not to mention the gambling commission and the white paper.

Note  they did not show the books board prices, would make for a more interesting segment to show prices on boards on course and compare with prices in shop, on line, on here.

Was in a shop last week and a punter was complaining about how short prices were compared to same bookmaker on line, 1.5 points difference.

In shop the games they play shifting prices is past a joke, they swiftly and neatly move prices, by time you get to counter often the price has changed, the SP too is craftily manipulated, all done to decieve and cheat thar loyal customers.

On course we all know the game is up, Brian is an interesting fellow, seems very keen to paint a favourable  picture of the bookmaking game.

Never the less, well done to him on leading in a jp winner, a life's achievement realised.

The ring might have been busy but the shop was very quiet for a festival week

I popped into a Corals in Southend on Thursday to do my placepot (I was visiting my Aunt)  and one of the lovely ladies working not only made me a coffee but kindly brought it to the table for me. There was just me and a Chinese bloke who was doing the bingo and that was that for the 20 minutes or so I was there.

Thanks for reading them, there's no charade with the bets laid, the ring is on the up, there's loads of value on course, books bet to well under 1% a runner, and each way in a lot of races. Horses that never got bigger than 15/8 in the industry show were backed at 9/4 to money on course.

Can i be very nosey and how much the firms exes would be for the week eg staff hotels meals out and costs of standing for the week.
