The bot knows my bets!

easy enough to get matched. If your sat waitng right @ the top end of price expectations then expect not to get matched on every occasion .Place yer bets @ bottom end of expectations you wouldnt have a problem getting matched.

Simple solution , get a bot.

My bets were right at the bottom...the point being that as soon as my bet starting getting matched the bot turned the market.

I'm not sure I could build a bot that could read peoples positions and screw them over...there's only one company that could do that!

So this bot (which by implication you suggest is run by BF) "turns the market" just when your bet starts getting matched, not any of the thousands of other punters' bets?

What have you done to upset them?

cant turn the market unless its running at 110%

funny you mentioned hulk, it seems like he has similar experiences to me.  I'm wondering whether its only winning accounts that suffer the wrath of the bot?

So NO Bets, at all, were struck on that Horse - as you were -"next in line" .... for "3 hours"  ...

I was at the end of the queue and by the time my money starting getting matched the bot moved the market.  Sometimes it feels like you're not trading the same markets as me.  I sat waiting in that "£3 million market" for over 3 hours to get matched on Gaelic Warrior at 7.0 for a fraction of my market order.  You clearly lack the intelligence to realise that the majority of that turnover is bots and not punters money.  The Bot controls the markets, deciding which way to push the market, making sure it always has the money on both sides.

revs knows, the rest of you will catch on sooner or later.

So, your bet was in the system for 3 hours, but rather than move the market when it was first struck, they decided to wait until your offer started to get filled?    If they were tracking you (which, BTW, they're not), do you not think they would have jumped in front of you the moment your bet hit the system???

The bots have a lot less say in what is going on in a liquid market like Cheltenham than they do on a wet February afternoon at Hereford.

The bots are a nuisance esp when liquidity is poor eg at night/off peak. I've left in-running position yet above matched prices yet not matched if my bets were below the matched ones eg my price was 1.85; matched price 1.83 - my bets were not matched. This were when my bets were losing ones ie the horse did not win.

It's without any doubt the bots are operated by privileged entities or entities directly involved here eg bookies (in cahoot).

Never forget: Where money is involved, there will always be greed and fraud. A classic example is the inside info by some top stables used to con punters on unlikely non-runners for gain.

There is a solution. You need to make a hat out of tin foil so that they can't read your mind.

They might still know what you want to bet, if you telegraph it 3 hours in advance, so sit ready to pounce
when the moment arrives.

It is clearly impossible to tell if a price suddenly put up is done by a bot or manually. Someone might just decide to lay or back at the current odds and if the bet is biggger than what is available the odds naturally shift to take account of the unmatched stake.It is easy to spot most bot operations when any price put up immediately causes a move and if a new price is put up again the mamrket immediately moves.

Bots can be manipulated to insert prices better than yours as soon as and esp if you click 'lay'. This has happened to me many times when the market is illiquid.

Just try trading the first race at Chelts each day and you'll soon realise that you stand no chance against "the bot"

the bot can only control a market thats trading at way over 100% or there is a big discrepancy between an individual back and lay price..the bot cannot move a market thats currently 101%.

A bot can move a market at 101%, it simply pushes the other prices in response.  If I was to place £1m on Mighty Potter now, you can guarantee that the bot would push all the other runners out in price

If you were to place a £1m bet, any weight of money bot would wake up and take note (it would be a REALLY good way to let everyone, not just the bots, know that "someone" with a big balance fancied one, BTW).

Big money is going to move the market, with or without the involvement of bots.  That should be pretty obvious.

A BOT is only as good as the human master , my BOT does EXACTLY what i script it to do , no more no less , so never questions an instruction.

Rico is correct in that there are certain market areas you avoid like the plague.

The most effective BOT's on here are scripted by good developers whom invariably need to know very little about horse race trading , they just listen to what the customer/friend wants to happen , not a BOT grabbed from a shelf.

In the City bots are used to "steal" the narrowest margin advantage in currency trading.

Little doubt that the bots have strangled the markets at Cheltenham as they do now on Saturdays and all big meetings.

gps are controlling the bot..as soon as momentum is detected forward or reverse the market is adjusted accordingly..if you click with an overide your request is dealt with to maximise maximum house returns...there aint anything free anymore..the people who run the drone operation get a 0.2 click advantage..thats all it takes to wipe the market...technology has taken over the asylum.

The bots are bookies related. I think they ought to be banned as they give an unfair advantage to their user.

Next week and following week will probably be no bet for me until Aintree at the earliest; Punchestown is another no go given the usual dodgy results. Post Aintree the Guineas trials and Guineas two weeks after.
