£30 Win
Wolverhampton 6-00 Miss Elsa 9/1 For me there are doubts about tonight's distance of 1m1½f (1m1f104y) for all of the market principles apart from the 10yr old Quoteline Direct and my fancy MISS ELSA who has won four times from 1m 1f to 1m 2f three times at Lingfield and over tonight's CD in 2019 but last win was over three years ago. After that last win in February 2020 the now 7yr old mare left Eve Johnson Houghton to Lee Carter on a mark of 70 and now finds herself in this Classified Stakes off a mark of 48 which is quite competitive with all her rivals. Best run for three years was 11 days ago for tonight's Hackney born jockey Kaiya Fraser who has had 11 winners from 71 rides and won last week on a 9/4f and his 7lbs allowance could do the trick to get Miss Elsa back in the winners enclosure. |

Backed into 9/2 but disappointing run and seemed a half-hearted effort even for this low level, that's horse racing.

Dundalk 6-00 Bowerman 13/2 BOG
|
|
By:
The 9yr old BOWERMAN has a wonderful record and has won TWELVE races from 45 races from 1m to 1m 4f including NINE races on the all-weather. Adrian McGuinness charge came good again two weeks ago when justifying 15-8fav over tonight's course and distance
Still retains plenty of ability and has been in great form since February having dropped down the handicap the past year from a mark of 92 when winning his 9th AW race over CD and now runs off top weight on a mark of 88 but still has a great chance despite a 6lb rise with decent Adam Caffrey taking off 7lbs and considering he was once rated 106 only about two years ago after a success in a Doha Local Group 2. |

Newcastle 7-15 Thaki 15/2 BOG
Winner of five races at 6f on the all-weather (1 PO). Beaten a neck by One More Dream when second of 9 at 8-1 on his latest outing over this course and distance earlier this month. |

Good luck Billy, i like Bowerman and the jockey, surely has to go close.
|
|
By:
Hope so sr, the 6f specialist THAKI for me looks ready to win again also, only beaten a neck 15 days ago in a better race with a 7lb claimer only losing it near the finish. Young in-form Billy Loughnane claiming 5lbs is on tonight from the same draw as last win in May last year off 2lbs higher.

Naas 2-00 Magical Vision 5/1 BOG
|
|
By:
The now 6yr old chestnut mare Magical Vision didn't make her debut until last September and has obviously had some issues but she made up for lost time when scoring twice over five furlongs un-fancied on today's heavy ground at the end of last season including at this venue and for today's jockey Chris Hayes.
On her last success she had two of today's main rivals behind, the now well fancied favourite Sounds of Spring and the other fancied 2nd favourite Half Nut. Both are now better off at the weights since that mild autumn day in wonderful County Kildare but from my experience and many will disagree but when a horse beats another and they meet again on similar terms they usually come out on top again. Looks ready for today's step up to 6f after only three runs with her Dam winning over 7f and her Sire being successful over 6f, 7f and a mile. |

Wolverhampton 6-00 Janaat 11/2 BOG
Modest 4yr old filly who is yet to darken the winners enclosure and has only been placed twice in 15 starts but at the weights stands probably her best chance to date. Finished 1 3/4L behind Amazing Amaya when fifth of 9 at 11-2 on her latest outing over this CD 21 days ago. Even at this lowly level that race was full of past winners while today this bunch are like JANAAT who was going best of all last time until a wall of three blocked her chance and she didn't have the speed to pick up. Another filly I fancy at a much better level is the 3yr old GLORIOUS ANGEL who is a winner of five races from 5f to 7f including 3 wins on the AW in a Glorious spell at the turn of the year. Finished not too far behind Shalromy when fifth of 10 on her latest outing at Deauville over 6f in a Listed event 16 days ago and is only 1lb above last win. Grey gelding MAGICAL MAX made a flying start to his career with two Successes in 2019 over 6f and then started handicap life in Class 4 and Class 3 level off marks of 84. Ran best race since going down by a neck in another Class 3 last April when Third of six behind Barging Thru beaten only 1/2L at 17-2 16 days ago at Chelmsford when staying on over tonight's 7f. Now down to a mark of 72 with Jamie Spencer taking over and the blinkers come on for the first time. |

Wolverhampton 6-00 Haven Lady 7/1 BOG |

By:
In this low level Classified Stakes for horses rated 0-50, for me the 8yr old MARTINEO has a great chance of getting back into the winners enclosure since a cold January day last year when after being off for 95 days he ran out a ready winner at 100/30 when he'd been 25/1 in his previous race. The trainer said, regarding apparent improvement in form, that the gelding had benefitted from recent veterinary treatment to his knees and joints.
John Butler's bay gelding is a winner of six races from 6f to 1m 1f including five wins on the AW with four successes here at Wolverhampton and also a 7f win on GS at Yarmouth. Beaten last time into Third in a field of ten by a pair of in-form rivals when 11-5fav on his latest outing at Southwell over 7f 12 days ago. The key to the race apart from The Muscle rub, Fiery jack, arthritis rheumatoid ointment could be that The morning favourite Gatwick Kitten who is only 2 from 25 and hasn't won beyond 5 1/2f and has seemed to struggle at 6f and the now gambled on Irish raider Tanseeq who hasn't won since 2018 and has won just 2 from 36 while all the rest are double figures in the betting with the 5th favourite Gonzaga ZERO wins from THIRTY NINE.. |

In The SIX BELLS 1m4f (1m4f51y) Top Odds Every Day With BetUK Handicap (Class 6) (4yo+ 0-65) there are five horses between 3/1 and my fancy HAVEN LADY at 7/1 who looks set to get her season up and running after her four wins last season with the last over this 1m4f from 4lbs lower.
Best performance including The four wins was 14 days ago over 1m6f when going down by a length and with the favourite Belle Of Annandale being off for 173 days, 0-13 and no form fresh, Kentucky Kingdom best over shorter and my last time out fancy Hashtagmetoo running well but beaten nearly 3L. Starfighter won't be too far away and won by over 2L in December off 60 but had the help of Billy Loughnane's 7lb claim. |
|
By:
Both ran well with HAVEN LADY going especially close. I can work out handicaps in a fashion but you won't see me bet in low grade Classified races anymore, their form doesn't hold up and is all over the place. Where's that Voltarol knee and Muscle Pain Relief Gel when you need it.

The 6yr old grey is a winner of seven races from 7f to 1m 1f all at Wolverhampton and once over this CD. Back to form last Saturday night when out from a wide draw going well just in behind the leaders when only beaten a 1L by an improver in Eagle Eyed Freddie. Runs off the same mark and is due to rise 1lb next week with Cam Hardie who has won five times on him retaining the ride. |

John Butler 5yr old who was back to form at Wolverhampton two weeks ago off 65, this is a slightly better race but has only been raised a lb but was rated 75 only last May when he ran well in much better company. How 20lbs lower than when joining this canny yard and another win could be on the cards. |
