some average dross this week and been looking at a few of the festival races and the arkle should be cracking race and wpm well represented here . el fabio won the irish version well with dysart dynamo behind and he has a big chance on that form but a bit short for me and his jumping could be tested here . johnbon has won all his chases hasnt beaten much in the process but is clearly talented just the price puts me off . already backed final orders nrnb but he is a big drifter over the last week or so . this should cut up and one at a bigger price is SAINT ROI who ran in top company over hurdles and is a festival winner stays further and not got a lot to find on the ratings . ran in the irish arkle but did not complete, seemed to jump the fence well but somehow unseated after jumping it seemed well away from the fence when the incident happened . dysart should set a strong pace and that should suit saint roi and around 10/1 nr nb bog b 365 could be worth a pop .
they should both turn up oily ,many think its a 2 horse race , those 2 may well fight out the finish , the betting says they prob will but it dont always work out like that and we dont know what would have happened if saint roi had completed .

I'd be concerned about whether Saint Roi will be able to jump at the pace Dysart Dynamo will set. For me, he should be in the Turners.
Jonbon is a superb jumper, as Arkle winners usually are, and that's why I think he'll win.

I'd question Jonbon's jumping. He's only run in 2-4 runner fields, had two easy wins from the front and has only seen another horse in his last race. On that occasion, sent off at 1-16fav, the only other runner showed up one or two flaws in his jumping. At least he had that experience, he should learn from it and it's likely to be another small field here. He's not going to get an easy lead with Dysart Dynamo there and the Mullins team ganging up against him.
El Fabiano put in a stunning performance at the DRF. Looked to have thrown his chance away by pulling hard and making a bad mistake but still hosed up. Not sure he would need to be that good again to win this. Not out of the question he could run flat, the other two cut each others throats and Saint Roi is left with nothing much to beat.

If you look where Visionarian & Fil Dor finished you will have a good idea.

Fair point about the Arkle being a new situation for Jonbon, GoBallistic. Nevertheless, I don't think El Fabiolo would get away with the jumping mistakes he made at Leopardstown at Cheltenham. One thing the fences at Cheltenham do is punish errors.
Yes, the race could fall apart if they go too fast up front. At the DRF, I thought they were going too fast for Saint Roi to lay up, but it's possible Mark Walsh thought the leaders had got the pace completely wrong.
