That's the reason 98% of punters have historically lost their dough high_lander , they read form , follow useless stats , back fav or 2nd fav and basically expect the outcome to be exactly what it says on the tin.

A bad run is a myth!! ,in the last week I have backed two horses ,neither which had fallen before ,both fell at the last when clear. Then a horse fell on the bend at Fairhouse when lying second , (backed to place ) , then backed a horse for a place in the NH flat race at Doncaster , which pulled up. Thats bad luck. obviously not my only bets , but cost me over 3k between them .
