Much as I like him and would like to see an English jockey do well. Why does he lose so many of these races on favourites by getting run down late on? A tad impatient and not able to sit and bid his time...

I hate him as a jockey, all arms and legs, but the horse wasn't good enough.
True I suppose. It's just STD ride sort of ensured the result. Just watched Brian Hughes on Heroique De Maulde, showing how to win from the front by keeping a bit up his sleeve and presenting his mount well at the last two fences.
