TRAGIC LAST MOMENTS ‘Inhale scream’ heard on morning Nicola Bulley vanished by river – as inquest told exact time her Fitbit stopped working.
Thar ye go, some proper tangible evidence at last, that's all I needed to hear, am out of here.

Can't rule out accident but I don't think so. As you know the river was only deep well away from the bank. She wasn't a happy person at the time I think we can be sure of that. My guess is she wanted to make it look like an accident so her children didn't think it was suicide. It's almost certain it won't be recorded as such so she will have succeeded. Might be of some interest looking at partners life in future as regards why she was so unhappy.

I dealt with several drownings as coroners officer at C Div Gt Yarmouth Howard, not all occurred in deep water.Possible for an adult to drown in 4"" of water according to inquests attended.Simple shock of cold water and subsequent panic perfectly plausible explanation for ingestion, get your point but not many people commit suicide stone cold sober where alcohol or drugs are absent.

pandy , I would likely agree but there was no trace of alcohol/drugs. Surely most young /middle aged sober people don't die of shock after slipping ( not fall from height ) into a foot or two of water?

So she accidently drowns in a foot of water in a narrow slow moving river. And specialist rescue man and police divers don't find body for about 2 weeks. I think we can agree they were p1ss poor then ?

We will never know but not 100% accident in my mind. Shhe had never fallen in the river before on hundreds of walks.
The inquest heard the family had called 999 with worries about her welfare earlier in January.
On the call-out Dr Theresa Leevy said the call followed Ms Bulley telling her sister she did not want to engage with her children and was "not wishing to be here".

seems the most plausible as as they said within 30 sec in water would be shock to body, and that slope is steep and slippy in winter i bet, very sad all round

wernt she wearing one of those long padded puffa coats that a lot of youngish wimmin wear ? falling in cold water and panicking , that coat would absorb water pretty quickly if she felln in and landed on her back the weight of that coat filled with water coulda made it difficult to get up !

I would have thought the jacket type would have been tested, not meaning to sound argumentive but being a bit of a jacket nut and into outdoor gear I would think it would do the opposite, repel water and float the wearer, having been in many a river in all sorts of garmets myself I can say a long coat can be a problem inasmuch as it can fill with water balloon, she could have been on her back, floating with underside of coat filled with water, I think that's why she never just sank and remained on river bed.
The river was higher than shown on the day than when Peter was doing his log show.

When I say float the wearer I mean initially ,the auto response in water is to try and swim, people get into trouble in water they could stand in, particularly rivers. The auto response is to try and get out the place you go in,when you should really use current and swim downstream, or as fisherman in waders are told, get on your back, legs pointing downstream so you don't hit a rock with your head, use your hands to steer to bank. That's why a wading belt is an absolute must.
The modern fill in padded jackets is not very absorbant, although without knowing the type its hard to say but quilted jackets with lots of compartments and filled will modern fibre and are light should float the wearer, for how long though I can't say.

howard 26 Jun 23 18:42 I still say she threw herself in at a deeper point of water ( away from the dog ) Anyway the life insurance will payout for accidental ?

Are you a Coroner or just one of the many people who have caused the family so much grief.

But noone got murdered in this instance, someone died, an accident.
What do you make of the phychic that found NB body? I know your into that stuff, MSM keep reporting two dog walkers, but that's not correct. Was first lift of river level since NB went missing, he had found another as well, very odd.

No, still a gov investigation into lancs police handling of the investigation, and ultimately they must be held accountable for the failures and poor effort in searching the river, also it was they that fueled a raft of speculation by releasing very personal info about NB, that all needs addressed too.
And no it wasn't the barber that found NB, it was a psychic from Oldham.

For all those that think NB could not have got into trouble in the river, this is best vid I have seen, note he clearly says river was half a meter higher on day NB went missing.
Note he says 4m deep.

Prefer the term the river level was higher. A river is gauged, it has a mark, its referenced from the mark as being + or - , the mark is normal summer flow. It never gets deeper the level rises or falls. But yes.

If you have visited that spot on numerous occasions you don't 'fall' into the water. 90% of people who take their own life always seem very happy beforehand.

Tonight: Lindsey Burrow – Who Cares for Our Carers? 8.30pm, ITV1 Last year, Lindsey Burrow (left) ran the inaugural Leeds marathon, which her husband, Rob (right), co-founded with his former Leeds Rhinos teammate Kevin Sinfield to help raise awareness for motor neurone disease. (Rob and Sinfield were awarded CBEs in January for their services to motor neurone disease awareness.) Here, Lindsey highlights the demands of unpaid caring – which she continues to do for Rob – a service worth an estimated £162bn a year in the UK.

Received a letter just the other day Don't seem they wanna know you no more They've laid it down, given you their score Within the first two lines it bluntly read
"You're not to come and see us no more Keep away from our door Don't come 'round here no more What on earth did you do that for?"
Our aunt, she don't wanna know, she says "What will the neighbours think, they'll think We don't, that's what they'll think, we don't" But I will, cause I know they think I don't
Our uncle, he don't wanna know, he says "We are a disgrace to the human race", he says "How can you show your face When you're a disgrace to the human race?"
No commitment, you're an embarrassment Yes, an embarrassment, a living endorsement The intention that you have booked Was an intention that was overlooked
They say, "Stay away Don't want you home today Keep away from our door Don't come 'round here no more"
Our dad don't wanna know, he says "This is a serious matter Too late to reconsider No one's gonna wanna know ya"
Our mum, she don't wanna know, she says "I'm feelin' twice as old", she says "Thought she had a head on her shoulder Cause I'm feelin' twice as older I'm feelin' twice as older"
You're an embarrassment

10 stone body doesnt slip in to river bank without leaving any trace if the force she was said to have hit the water give her cold water shock enough to drown her, she must have carefully placed herself in the river
