He's OK, stood down for a week, battered and bruised, horse sadly died.

Thanks for that.  I'm not privy to what happened but I would be interested in seeing the result of a post-mortem on the poor animal.  I wonder if it suffered a heart attack because not only did it not appear to put down it didn;t appear to properly take off either.  Tragic.

I think he might need a bit longer than a week to recover from that,absolutely horrific fall.

Good to hear he's out of Hospital.

Must admit to being very surprised to learn this happened in a hurdles race.

It rather suggests the poor horse suffered a cardiac arrest prior to falling.
