Very keen to see how Dysart Dynamo goes today.  Appeared very comfortable with the fences on his debut.  Don;t know if something went wrong physically or mentally last year but I have a hunch he could be very good over fences indeed.

D Mullins has improved out of all recognition as a jockey,used to be a clumsy as hell.

Facile Vega went to fast - jockey's fault. And, the omission of the 2nd last hurdle only made matter worse, I believe.

This time he let Facile Vega come home in her own time rather than flogged the horse till thy kingdom come like he did with Lossiemouth.

I said to myself f**king hell Townend, don't get stuck behind that 100/1 donkey on Lossiemouth just before it fell back and stopped him. I've never ridden a horse but it was obvious watching the race on the box. He rides some good races, but some shockers as well. He's no Ruby.

Anybody could have won on Gaelic Warrior. Stone in hand (at least).

Willie said he hoped Lossiemouth did not have too hard a race and that PT should have accepted the situation when her chance was gone and not given her a hard race. He is afraid the race will have left its mark on Lossiemouth. Today he said PT rode Facile Vega like a machine and not a horse. next time they will ride it like a horse. He said Danny gave the winner a cute ride

Pretty damning comments from Willie, clearly not a happy bunny. Getting beat on five odds-on favs (including three log odds-on) especially when it included at least two questionable rides also pretty damning.

I hope he's not choosing to go down the same route as the stuntman. As has been said too many very questionable rides on long odds on shots. He's not jumping off them is the only difference.

It is ironic though that people are jumping on board with the criticism of riding the horse too hard in the straight to try to catch the leader. The same people would have slaughtered him if he just sat up turning into the straight and didn't get placed.

I was surprised to see him talking and acting like a normal person instead of the gurning and buffoonery he usually carries on with, irritating little McCririck light.

Townend bit like Buick, always on the best horses so obviouly wins races, but neither are any great shakes in the saddle. At least Ruby had the decency to either fall of them or bring them down with his antics.

Highly unlikely there will ever be another jumps jockey anywhere near as good as the peerless Tony McCoy.

When McCoy got the JP job and started riding at the big Irish meetings he was mote often than not tactically outridden by Walsh and Geraghty.

Bookies pay a lot of money to get an odds on turned over. Especially one that will be in practically ALL multiples. The stuntman sold himself. Hope townend isn't doing the same.
