look at explanations "gelding appeared to be in better form" wtf does that mean? And the "good" in good to soft suited the gelding - that's the same gelding that was beat 20l, 40l and 41l on it's 3 previous attempts on GOOD going. - presumably the explanations were NOTED - FFS - as you say - what's the difference between this and McNally? Most of them are at it. A mess indeed.

What can you expect when the level of prize money is so pitiful - be honest, if any of you on this thread owned a low class horse, you'd be trying to get the trainer to line it up for a decent punt somewhere.

It wasnt a secret the horse was being backed all day - there's always the option of jumping on board with them if it makes you feel better.

I don't know what you are all complaining about. Horses improve and deteriorate often without an exact explanation. When a book is priced up it is often only based upon known form then we have the added information as the day goes on as to whether the opening price truly reflects its chances. If the price is too big and doesn't truly reflect its chances then it will shorten and vice versa. The betting in this instance told everyone that this horse was the wrong price by a very long way. You can either believe the betting and pile in or ignore it and complain if it wins or smile if it loses. The betting is an important guide to a horses chances. In my humble opinion of course.

I think ALL of those comments are completely fair. The bit I think is wrong/crazy is that SOME are punished and many are not. The rules should be consistent. No doubt, as in life in general, it's all about your connections. I have to say I often followed McNally's gambles in quite successfully but would VERY rarely be on Moore's or more interestingly the big boys (Henderson and Nicholls for example) at the right time. That was probably why McNally was picked on - it was possible for a 'normal' punter to get it. The big gambling corporations would hate that, of course. They LOVE unpredictability. Most folk have no idea how much power these global companies have. Believe me when I say most companies are as powerful as governments as a whole. It's frightening.
