What was incompetent about the other jockeys?  They were on rags and it showed.  They couldn;t have got anywhere near it!  Absolute rags against a horse that recently ran in a listed!

It's still listed - they do that for a reason.  Anyway, the whole fact of the matter is that the other couldn't have gone any faster if they had tried.  Which was why they were held up so long and because they were the dross of the dross they had nothing at the end either.

Just watched it ...Tommo has commentated on thousands of races , you can clearly see his thoughts on the lead given .......what a shower.

There was and is nothing complicated about it.  They didn't go the pace, then decided they couldn't go the pace and then couldn't get to him.  I know because I backed the second and watched the pack closely.  Has to as poor a race as we have seen this season.  Absolute rags in behind.

Being a 7lb claimer, Hurst was offered the opportunity to be accompanied but declined. Having reviewed recordings of the race, the jockeys explained that they had all asked their mounts for effort from halfway in the back straight and that they were unable to gain ground on the free-running leader, they continued to ask their mounts for an effort and in their opinions, had obtained the best possible placings. The Stewards noted their explanations.

So they are basically saying they started trying once they had conceded a 40 length lead. It just confirms that these enquiries are pointless.

So they have just decided over the jumps?  So up until today it was only AW races

So, basically, they rode their mounts at a snails pace allowing a rival to poach an effortless 50l lead, then they wonder why they couldn't gain any ground.

There are only two possibilities here... cheating or incompetence and tbh I'm not sure which one is worse.

I think all you're previous in the defence of the rancid AW would suggest you're not very clever to be fair. Anyone who defends the complete scam that it is is every bit as bad as Mulrennan and his cohorts imop and can't be trusted.
