Not sure whether it made the difference, but rare to see an odds on favourite held up off the pace in Ireland. Two or three lengths behind the winner, and that ended up being close to the margin of victory.

Watched a replay of the race. I agree about tactics as this horse doesn't have a real turn of foot. On the other hand I wasn't too impressed with Davy even though he won the race. Ran the horse into every hurdle bar the last two and was generally on the heels of other horses all the way round. Think he got luckyvthat his horse has a better turn of foot.
