Trying to promote betbuilder bets for horse racing. These casino bets with huge implied margins for bookmakers are an absolute killer for the amateur punter.
wouldnt touch with bargepole but have had about 20 £1/£2 free bets and without doing anything to dramatic odds on chance to win ,more than 3 goals kane/brazil to score 2 etc, ive got one up at about 6,s out of 20, FOOLS GOLD bets

Betbuilders are equivalent to casino games on fobt. Only a scumbag would promote a bet like that. I hope all betting/gaming ads on mobile and laptop are banned permanently in the long delayed Gambling White Paper. I also hope it includes a levy on bookies towards nhs for gambling addicts.

If I was playing I'd only pick 2 (small odds combined) to earn a similar sum freebie on any sport otherwise they can sling their hook.
Betbuilders are dangerous. It can seriously damage one's health and financially. It's the crack-cocaine of football ie quick losses and addictive.

No worries, talking absolute rubbish, easy to see who the paymasters are.
Betbuilders are a hit with football punters - they could be the same for racing The King George VI Chase won by Bravesmangame could have had more appeal as a betting event by the introduction of betbuilders The King George VI Chase won by Bravesmangame could have had more appeal as a betting event by the introduction of betbuilders Alan Crowhurst 1 of 1 UPDATED 5:57PM, JAN 6 2023
Bookmakers are always on the lookout for new markets to boost turnover, and while some fail to drum up much interest, others take off spectacularly.
An example of a hugely successful innovation is the betbuilder. These new bets have have been such a hit with football punters that one firm is reporting a dramatic swing back towards pre-match betting just when it seemed like in-play turnover would forever be the bigger deal.
If you have not dipped your toe into this new way of betting, which gives punters the freedom to combine almost limitless permutations on the same fixture, here's an example of a betbuilder I placed on this week's Arsenal v Newcastle match: Saka to score at any time, Xhaka to be booked, Newcastle to win or draw, fewer than five cards to be shown and under 37.5 throw-ins.
The odds on those five elements all being successful was 85-1, and betbuilder players can modify and edit their wagers as they go along, seeing how each change affects their odds.
It's a fun, small-stakes way of enhancing one's viewing pleasure, and the reason they are being referenced here, slap bang in the middle of the racing section, is that, given their popularity in football, there must be scope for an equivalent product for major races.
Take the recent King George at Kempton. It was a perfectly interesting betting event just using the standard markets, but it could have had even more appeal, particularly for those punters who love the equivalent wager on football, if betbuilder facilities had been available.
You could, for example, have chosen any combination of match bets, picked the winner, backed any number of horses to be placed anywhere from the first two to the first eight, and even thrown in the winning distance and whether the SP would be over or under a certain mark to boot.
I am aware of one major bookmaker that is looking at creating betbuilders for racing, but the logistical and technological challenges are understandably demanding due to the huge complexities caused by related contingencies.
However, if the layers can crack the task of generating effective betbuilders for big races, it could be a potential boost for the sport at a time when it needs to do all it can to hold and strengthen its position as an alluring betting medium.

sensible punters already have distance betting, matchg betting available but dont get involved because of jocks easing horse down trying to hoodwink handicapper etc, you,d have to be a mug or millington target customer to get involved in relying on jocks pushing out to land a winner we,re currently happy if they avoid falling off

i have to agree with the OP . each leg of a bet builder will be between 8% and 20%. The cumalative elements would probably return less than a hundred point for every one hundred and fifty staked on a four timer . Very difficult to get value on one , nevermind all four elements of the bet. Should only be used when free , otherwise avoid at all costs !

lets be brutally honest , anyone having these bet builder footy bets are going to do their loot year in and year out so they may as well lose it on daft hideous bets like this as any other way.

brucie as usual already missed the boat on this one with bookies poor marketing,as others and i have said using their free bets has just showed how its almost impossible to get even a basic buildabet over the line, or maybe brucie and bookies have realised their poor marketing and this is an advert to try and pull in a few strays in to a racing buildabet angle

I remember an article by Alastair Down extolling the fun of gambling on FOBT's some years ago ( pre £2 max per spin ). Tbh, I can't see the point of spending £40ish a month on this totally pro-bookmaker rag!

I remember that From Down as well h.d. Completely beyond the pale writing that piece, but 'they' have no shame at all, Millington being another case in point.

I’ve just put two players from Oxford vs Arsenal tonight to get booked (365).They’re both 10/3 so as a normal double a pound would pay £18.78. They’re giving 18/1 so there’s nothing wrong with that. I added a third which was also 10/3 which came to 70/1 (should be 80/1) so a big difference there.
There is a huge case for ‘related’ with these bet builders so five single prices could look extremely poor as an acca.

NEVER but NEVER underestimate the stupidity of the British populace - just look at the last two and a half years for concrete evidence.
