aceform...

the media want nowt to do with this sort of stuff...

they just want to turn up at their newspaper or studio or wherever they are that day...

say bland things about wonderful human being jockeys/trainers and owners...

hope folk like us buy it all...

ten go home and feed their cat and watch Eastenders...

getting involved with incidents like this ain't on their agenda..

trust me.

said it before but i will say it again and again...

totally bizarre that RTV sponsors Mulrennan...

of all the jockeys they could easily afford to sponsor...

they choose Paul Mulrennan ffs...

i'd love to know the reason why tbh.

If people are saying the stewards aren't fit for purpose why continue to give them financial backing? If it can't be run properly then surely the only way to solve it is not to go and let them get the message that way.

watched it a few more times, wanted to give the geezer the benefit.
but no.  nothing, in fact watching the finish i'd be interested if it was laid 4 places coz he wasn't exactly throwing the kitchen sink at it.

If that can't be 'seen' then wtf can? Its as blatant as can be and no room for pithy explanations. Something must be up as pretty much everyone is in agreement and that never happens here!

If you look at its last few runs the horse comes across as a bit of a hound. In saying that todays ride was a bit strange to say the least.

as someone pointed out earlier, he's hardly pushed the horse out and lost out on 4th by a neck (to another Goldie runner).  so at the very least he's in contravention of -

A Jockey must, and must be seen to:

37.1 ask their horse for timely, real and substantial efforts to achieve the best possible position;

Are the Newcastle stewards satisfied Mulrennan did this ?

Just watched it after a day off . He appears to pull on the reins about 1.5 f out "The rider stated having travelled well through the race he found himself stuck behind horses with no room to manoeuvre, having to take off heels for a sustained period, losing both momentum and ground and finding himself further back than he wanted." But he had plenty of room to go left. surely the matter can't end here?

like the stewards to show me the bit inside the final furlong where he's making a substantial effort to finish 4th

mad dog...

BHA does everything in possibly can to not spot non triers...

coz if it really wanted to spot them they'd have so many jockeys in their office in between races we'd not have enough daylight to get the whole meeting done...

and also they don't want us mugs who actually fund the game thinking the game is totally rancid...

it's all an illusion imv.

Hulk...

as i said earlier...

if the BHA wanted to do something about this they easily could...

they could go above the heads of the Newcastle Stewards and do something about it from their Head Office...

of course they won't tho...

nowt to see here lads...

move on please.

thank you.

Even if you have to rein a horse back for a split second because it's on the heels of those ahead, that doesn't usually mean it drops all the way back to last, having previously been full of running. Typically, you'd rein it back, switch, and then ask it for its effort. And if he'd in fact done that, it might not have won, but it certainly would've finished a hell of a lot closer.

I'm always more than happy to give a jockey the benefit of the doubt for a horse's poor run - in fact, I'd bend over backwards to do so. I have done so here too, by pointing out the fact the horse has met trouble in running on its last three starts, and not just with Mulrennan up.

But,that ride today was just too bad to be true.

How about us punters on here attempying to do something about this one instead of just accepting this one.

https://forms.theiline.co.uk/bha

It takes less than a minute to the BHAs notice.
If 50 of us make the effort on this one,we could make a difference for once.

If you submit the form make reference on the first page of the reasons why you may wish to remain anonymous, i.e. dodgy characters involved in race fixing.

Racing has always been bent , but with the introduction of betting exchanges it is now bent as fcuk. Now you don`t need a winner , just a loser , that can 100% be guaranteed ! A winner can never be . Get rid of the betting exchanges , a license to print money for the corrupt few. Otherwise the stewards need to sort this sh 1t out.
Anything to do with money , not just in horse racing and you will find corruption .
