never had thsi problem before but really struggling today then saw this thread. extra delay cant be anything to do with speeds or networks but more like somethings been put in there. but what?

Contacted them again said once again no problem at there end but will look into it,what it needs is lots of compaints on Twitter,I know it is time consuming but at least then they will look into it.

Now told me they have no issues,so to any of you having this problem you are going to have to lump it,unless you complain.No more in running for me until the issue is sorted but does not look like it will be as they have had no other complaints.

been told to tell you there are no problems by paddy.  blind man can see there are problems.

From experience do not do in-running here - there's a big time-delay. For instance, if your intended bet won eg 1.5 (despite 1.48 was matched) your bet was not matched; the opposite would be true if it lost eg 1.5 (yours was matched) despite none at 1.55. They'll use the time-delay to maximum effect.

Getting paid is also taking a long time,waiting for the place market on the 3.40 to be settled only finished an hour and 15 mins ago

These sort of issues used to happen, fairly often, years ago ... BUT, similarly ... NOT for EVERYBODY - or ALL of the time.

People were posting  - PING TEST Results - and the like... as suggested by (the then) communicative Customer Services

From memory - It appeared that there could have been something of a Router problem from differing Internet Service Providers ... as Not EVERY ISP travelled down the same 'Highway' to and from Betfair.

Whether that was the actual issue - and whether similar is/has been happening here - who knows - Fibre Optic accessibility having improved.

If All the posters having problems are with the same Internet Service Provider, and/or are from a similar geographical area (longshot) - can only be determined by yourselves.

My friend is from a different area and has a different provider, but is having the same problem.

i appear to have been allocated a 10.81 second delay on any horseracing bets.  fine on everything else.

the graphs on world cup matches are painfully slow and erratic...never ever seen slow bets even on the standard bf interface though.

they'd probably tell me the only person who could possibly put a delay on certain markets, on certain accounts is the owner of the exchange.

and they'd probably be correct

I have noticed the same Greyhounds,football are ok but only Horse Racing has this issue.

No I had a special offer for 18 months so I took it.

akin to killing flies with a bazooka.

It was either Superfast 200 or Ultra fast 600 not much price difference.

I do agree it is more than what I need but was fed up with a slower internet provider,I am now paying the same for a more powerful internet,it is only on a 18 month offer after which I may get the 200 which will be cheaper.

It is like wading through treacle - so slow to get a bet on - interminable, unusable.

With the new 10 second delay in horse racing markets it is clear Paddy is up to something.

It is not my network or pc.

Something sinister is afoot.

What I have seen for the last few days is on the early race or two it is fine....however as the day goes on then the BF system goes into a sort of creping death and after a few races it is almost impossible to bet on running. The delay from when you press your button to place a bet or lay is usually up to 12 seconds.

Varies 520mbps to 560mbps,not really needed I know but great for downloading programmes or films,good for seeing the prices in running on here but lately cannot get on in running due to the problem,but better if you have quick fingers not like mine.

These problems being described have been known in the past, but they happened across the board, including the API.
I havnt seen anyone complain about the API experiencing issues.
Again, if you bet IR ....not even why, but HOW do you possibly do it without 1 click?

Currently placing bets pre race on my mobile and from pressing the 'place bet' Button it's taking at least 12 seconds to show the bet.
What with this issue and slow to settle markets the Exchange is collapsing.

Done 4 separate Speed Tests - Average 136 Download (paying for 100mbps - but Virgin Cable upped it to 120 a few weeks ago, for no extra) - and 21.0 mbps Uploads.

Bets Placed and Matched in milli-seconds.

Ive got two laptops. My older one works perfectly well for everything apart from putting bets on here when I get that spinning thing for around 8 seconds. The newer one puts bets on here just fine so from my experience id say its down to old software or old computers.

Cookies are stored on YOUR computer - not somewhere else

Clearing Cookies and Cache - CLEANS Up YOUR Computer - (from the - often inattentive - mess many people let their Computer/Tablet/Phone get into - thus SLOWING DOWN their Device) ....

Cookies/Cache has Nothing to do with the actual Transmission of Data... rather - the Interpretation of such Data - when it's gets to you.

Bet ID yep give em a list of about 500 ie everyone for last week or so im sure they are going to look into every bet

I raised the issue with the Customer Service Dept. yesterday evening.
Received a telephone call 5 minutes ago asking me various questions about the problem.
She indicated only one other person was having the time delay issue.
She wants me to video by phone the time delay and screen when pressing the place bet button.
Well at least they rang me about my complaint

I've had no issues with market graphs onlooker. Maybe you need a new computer or on the other hand you could stop being a **** for once in your life

This argument was done to death when the live video was playing up FOR SOME. It was explained well by a couple of people at the time

Very very slow for me today. Bets taking nearly 10 seconds.
