When I push the button to place a bet it takes a lot longer to process it than it use to.

It doesn't feel slower to me (just been repricing my bets on the 3.10, not noticeably faster or slower than usual).

Its ok on cancelling but when I place a bet get that dreaded small wheel come up for 2 seconds

The only time I am finding it is slow is when betting/laying in running on horses......the first indication is the BF system is saying there will be a delay of one scond in placing the bet....however in reality it is between 5 and 8 seconds........There is no way anyone can bet/lay in running with that sort of delay, so may have to try Betd**

i use 2 PC's and both show the same symptoms. I have also done a POWERWASH and also cleared Cache as that is the usual response we get from BF customer Services

Can handle it as put most bets on beforehand,but as you said could not handle such a delay placing a bet in running.Thought it was my pc or wifi but trouble seems to be betfair,as I have cleared my cache and checked speed on wifi.

I'm grateful for this thread, had the problem yesterday, did all the usual fixes but no better today. Thought it was my PC, hopefully it will be remedied soon because as others have said 'betting in running' is ridiculous with the delay in placing bets.

It was ok up until Monday then the problem started,its like placing a bet on the football where you wait 5 seconds.

Checked my wifi strength,never had this trouble before,friend has the same problem,something to do with Betfair.

Tantric.. I've been the same for last 2 days..has there has been nothing on here thought it must just be my laptop (10 years old now so thought I should buy a new one). Placing in-running bets has been a nightmare as it buffers away for several seconds.

The only thing I can suggest if everyone contacts Betfair on Twitter they may sort it out.

No problems on Chrome so far but I never use a mobile unless at the course.

Seems very occasional at the moment,have placed and cancelled a few bets,some are ok others take 3-4 seconds,friend of mine who lives in a different area has same problems,this problem only started this week.

... and where's the logic in imposing an extra 1 seconds delay anyway - wtf? Why? Its not that this affetcs everyone - its against realtime so any of us frequently betting in running are likely to have lost money in the 1 second from fallers, saddle slipping, deep closer coming into sight etc

It started out ok in first race today but now it is taking about 8 seconds to place a lay or back bet on exchange.....We must be fools trying to bet in running with such a slow system....Please guys the more that complain to Betfair Customer Services the better chance of getting it fixe....OK you may have to get used to them saying it must be your system or clear cache etc which is the bog standard answer from them

actually your bet is being placed quicker than you think just not showing up on the main screen straight away.
tried a test: Placed a bet manually and its showing up without a delay on the gruss ladder but delayed going thro on main system |

Geoff...appreciate your update, however if we are frequently making back or lay bets in running ( I make 10 to 20 of these in each race)we are not getting an informed update as to where we stand in a race. Fortunately this system malfunction has not cost me in the 4 days it has been going on, however I am jumping ship to the other side until this is resolved . If I do go onto BF for in play betting it will only be to see if they have resolved it, because Customer Services never tell us and hence we need to find out for ourselves
