If it was an -'Across the board' - Betfair issue ...

- along with the Conspiracy theory[/b] that - "Paddy is messing with Markets"  - (copyright - hulk23) ...

Then - Not only this Thread - But the WHOLE FORUM - would be AWASH with Posts and complaints from Everybody  ...

It Is NOT.

Therefore - surely - It is a mostly Connectivity - (and, only maybe, possibly product/device Compatibility) - issue for [i] SOME
Users - and Not a complete Betfair Markets functionality failure.

add: - Just played the Opener at Navan - seamlessly.

Virgin Media Cable - 120 mbps Ethernet connection - Desktop Computer

Currently placing bets pre race on my mobile and from pressing the 'place bet' Button it's taking at least 12 seconds to show the bet.
What with this issue and slow to settle markets the Exchange is collapsing.

It's pretty obvious what's going on, and it may well be the end of in running,to anyone with half a brain. Unfortunate stuff indeed.

I really think they are more worried about the Football,as the amount of turnover in that at the moment is huge.

Are you boys all still - 'wading through treacle'?  ....

- or - has it 'all gone quiet over there'.

My Desktop PC noticeably flying this afternoon - on all websites - RacingPost and Betfair especially.

Done 4 separate Speed Tests - Average 136 Download (paying for 100mbps - but Virgin Cable upped it to 120 a few weeks ago, for no extra) - and 21.0 mbps Uploads.

Bets Placed and Matched in milli-seconds.

Not being at all confrontational ...........

But, genuinely at a loss to know how the MAJORITY are entirely UNAFFECTED by these 'issues' - when others claim that the site has practically 'collapsed' and is being **** against them.
------------

Noticeable too - How many post a complaint - Yet do Not respond when asked a genuine sensible question - as in ...

Ive got two laptops. My older one works perfectly well for everything apart from putting bets on here when I get that spinning thing for around 8 seconds. The newer one puts bets on here just fine so from my experience id say its down to old software or old computers.

This is the same as when at times only some reported live video problems when it was a shambles. Nothing to do with your computer or isp. Luck of the draw in how the data is getting to you. Clearing cookies every 30 mins or so makes it pretty much normal for me at least.

john92 -

just how is - "the data getting to you" then - if it is - "nothing to do with your isp" ?

By magic?

- and - "Clearing cookies every 30 mins" - is, surely - Everything to do with Your Computer - and Not ... "Nothing to do with your computer" - as

Cookies are stored on YOUR computer - not somewhere else

Clearing Cookies and Cache - CLEANS Up YOUR Computer - (from the - often inattentive - mess many people let their Computer/Tablet/Phone get into - thus SLOWING DOWN their Device) ....

Cookies/Cache has Nothing to do with the actual Transmission of Data... rather - the Interpretation of such Data - when it's gets to you.

I raised the issue with the Customer Service Dept. yesterday evening.
Received a telephone call 5 minutes ago asking me various questions about the problem.
She indicated only one other person was having the time delay issue.
She wants me to video by phone the time delay and screen when pressing the place bet button.
Well at least they rang me about my complaint
