Horses drawn 1-4 have won seven of the past twenty runnings of the race and have been placed (1-4) twenty one times during the same period . Over the past twenty years
stalls 1 and 2 have had the best performance record vis a vis the win and place markets. Accordingly one can anticipate that Zoffee and Vino Victrix will be the subject of plenty
of interest in the 2022 renewal. In the past ten runnings of the race only one horse drawn in stalls 8-11 has been placed (a veritable concertina effect).
Since 2016 horses drawn 25 and above have achieved only six places = in the 2020 running poor stats were not enough to stop the usual gamble on a horse drawn 34 - Coltrane (backed into 5/1 and finished a well beaten 9th). Cumani went so far as to tell ITV viewers that the draw was unlikely to matter in a race of this length.

If there's one thing I've learned about Goshen it's that the ******* mule will do the complete opposite of what it's expected to do
