If so, you'd say the same about Atzeni. The ground beat Trueshan; atone in the Prix du Cadran on Arc Day.
By:
I think it's probable he'll get his softish ground (softish last two renewals) in the Champions Long Distance Cup at Ascot in October. His price is 2/1; 'evens' last renewal; beat Stradivarius on previous two renewals.
I think he'll beat Kyprios (7/2) too if he turns up softish ground. |
By:
Thought Atzeni was a woman too tbh as weak as one in a driving finish ... ground not ideal and against as was the ride but still needs a better pilot onboard ...put Buick up please ..
By:
Agree ..think on softer ground will beat Strad and the ground might beat Kyprios by bluntimg his speed at the end of races bit he might just be special and keep pulling out bit more...
Trueshan goes a bit keenly early doors so id like to see Buick with a brain go make all and make it a stayers test on amazing stayer horse PG |
By:
Beats both on soft for me. Even more so on heavy.
By:
Defo on heavy ...
By:
I think the price of 2/1 for Champions Day Long Distance Cup in October is 50% on (unknown) weather; the last couple had been on good to soft or soft going; probability the same too in October.
By:
Yeah in October you d imagine...
By:
Climate change if you believe?
By:
The biggest certainty today; 1/3 on soft going against this lot.
By:
no bet race. Trueshan on this ground is almost unbeatable
By:
I think if Frankie new how far back Trueshan is he would kick on even more.
By:
Holly you have fecked up there.
By:
fought it the entire trip then challenged on the worst ground...epic
By:
BIG TIME
By:
Think both jockey and horse to blame there - it ran like a dog.
By:
saw a lot of Doncaster today - probably enjoyed himself

Bring back Her Majesty! Another hotpot suffering from fitness thro' inactivity.
By:
wide track hung abit too
By:
rode it for speed, stupid girl.
By:
A replica of Soumillon; paceless yet hung back.
By:
Frankie won that there, for the winner

Kevin Blake sums it up how to get a good horse beat WD Hollie
By:
More bingo - surely only one or two are making it pay
By:
Looked all too much for Doyle. No pace, turns into a sprint, and then she can't keep the horse straight. Hasn't she been watching the racing? Horses are not coming back off a slow pace. Another one of many overrated jocks. You literally can't rely on any of them. I backed Coltrane at Goodwood, and he palpably didn't stay, and then he was hammered by Quickthorn when he didn't ever get within shouting distance at any stage. Just a nonsense result, and there are far too many of these unless of course you are a bookmaker.
By:
Perfect conditions for the horse for a change and Hollie gives the horse a stinking ride
By:
there couldn't be a better time for bookmakers surely - if they hadn't squeezed the bots
By:
brutal ride - did everytthing wrong.
By:

Don't need to be a bookmaker to lay horses. |
By:
jockeys who are on the best horses in the race and sit stone last on soft ground on tracks that have long stiff finishes are literally the most bread dead sports people i can think off. Its proven 99% of time it s not the place to be ever. IR the price went out straight away just from her positioning.
By:
People like itv been lauding her up only because she is a woman. A bang average rider, and a poor one when you got a headstrong horse. She can not get a custard to settle let alone a group 1 stayer. Think this demonstates how poor she really is. Its ok winning on good horses that settle but that the job requires alot more!
By:
Give it a rest , she's proved her worth time after time ,today was just an ill judged ride
By:
She is overrated, but then it's obvious she would be - they spend their time overrating most things in racing - trainers, jockeys, sometimes horses even.
But add in the 'women' element, and it's obvious she would be overrated - there's even some on here that do it!! |
By:
She is a good jockey and still young, she just rode it very poorly.
By:
Exactly, she is a 'good' jockey - not the second coming like some try to portray her.
By:
ps backed Misty Grey next race - come on forum curse!

A good jockey these days is one who messes up less than others. None of them are that good. Let's face it the media only big them up, never criticising rubbish rides, giving a totally false impression.
By:
I wonder if Steve Cauthen , pat eddery , Willie Carson , the great lestor , would have got trueshan beat
the standard of jockeys today compared to those greats it’s like the premier league and non league apart from frankie I can’t think of any that could be in there class |

infected hoof? what was that comment from Ed about?
