i fink someones forgotten the terrible slagging dettori gave some kid having their first ride at ascot last year.

Gosden is a friend of Matt Hancock so bad behaviour and lack of manners can be expected- Well Frankie's record wouldn't hold up to JG's. I can't remember JG getting arrested with cocaine.

No class from Gosden He is All ways right never wrong !!!!! As for his son surprised he knows what end of the horse to put bridle on
|
|
By:
why are you surprised? hes been doing it all his life. wanchor. ask his mother.
|
|
By:
I have had lots of employees behave badly, some I have had to let go, doesn't give me the right to publicly criticise them and then not ring them up to let them know why I don't need them in work on Saturday. Thought he had more class than that.
|
|
By:
Dettori showed bundles of class last year after the Gold Cup.
The other jockey was just a young rider making his way in the game. |

The Champion Stayers that should read.

Are Gosden's owners 'progressive' enough to have a woman as top jock? Don't even make that a 4/11 shot.

two wrongs don't make a right - there's no doubt Frankie has been a tw@t at times - especially his awful book grovelling to everyone in sight and blaming all his troubles on everyone's favourite trainer Al Zarooni I've always felt FD is two-faced lots of smiles for the camera but underneath quite different. give me Eddery, Kinane or Piggott any day. Did any of them even smile after winning a Derby or Arc nevermind prancing around like a pr@t still doesn't made the apparent treatment of FD right. |

No class from Gosden He is All ways right never wrong !!!!! As for his son surprised he knows what end of the horse to put bridle on -- What are you talking about? Thady is a decent guy. JG has been right more often than he has been wrong.

If Frankie was around to ride work this week he might've been able to discuss the weekend's plans.

toldya. faze de girl. shame i dint back this one strangerontheshore. bilko shore was no stranger to an acca.
its ld. did dettori get a going-over last year? if he did i dont recall it. and everyones always boring on about racing being so incestuous and cosy but a mild criticism of someone who can dish it out himself is lame and tame. you cant have it every way. what he said wasnt that bad. and i suspect reverse-snootiness against gosden(why bring his son into it?) who has always been the most helpful and straightforward of trainers. and not bad at it either. nice that at will respond on the racing forum but legs it from politics. safer ground eh? less chance of being embarrassed. |
|
By:
In fairness mitolo, its pretty tough there over in politics!!
|
|
By:
youisavinalaff. its full of weedy bedwetters who run away if you challenge their prejudice and dishonesty, and then they get you deleted. its embarrassing on a gambling forum. i turn up a few times a month, and never unless ive had at least 2, usually 3 bottles.

Keane NAP, Tudhope NB though Frankie still better than both of them even at his age. Gosden is a narcissist, vile man.

if you are to state such an opinion you should at least back it up. do you know him?

I managed to decypher what you said here - not been so easy on the politics forum |

nice excuse. if thats the case then why did you not say so? instead of saying i was a racist. so you formed an opinion based on something you didnt understand?

Mitolo is the resident village idiot, best ignored mate.
|
|
By:
we dont like foxes in this village baz. and those that reside here are well aware im not an idiot.
you stated clearly that gosden was a vile narcissist. quite strong. based on what? i did ask. but you wont say. who looks the idiot? and offensive too |
|
By:
what about Nicola Currie, she's as good as any jockey. cheers.
|
|
By:
nicola done well recently after a tough time. i like her, she looks fit and strong but i know nuffink and care less.
i have no opinion, not bovvering with who the gaily-attired midget is. doesnt make any difference to what i do. you can always spot a mug when the 1st thing they ask is; who is the jokey? successful wagons i know(a few) simply arent interested |

Fair play to Gosden for speaking his mind, after all we on here are always after criticism when its justified...
|
|
By:
at least a dozen on here that would've won the Gold Cup on Stradivarius.
any of them applied ? |
|
By:
Do you seriously think Dettori rode a good race on Stradivarius? We don't have to be jockeys to know otherwise.
For me he hastened his own demise not just by getting Saga beat but by how he got it beat. He moped around at the start and it was clear he was in a real negative, self-pitying place instead of using his experience to shrug it all off and get the next one home. The Gosdens clearly wanted a winner for her maj and he wasn't tuned in and left the horse with far too much to do in a race that he was laid out for. I think that is what;s got them so hopping mad. That and saying immediately post-Gold Cup defeat that the horse wasn't good enough at eight. |
|
By:
Lots of differing views on this this, Both gosden and dettori have been very very successful in their differrent spheres so both are to be admired for that. I think the way Gosden went about this business was very poor and showed him in a very bad light.
Having said that its his shout and if he think FD should be changed then its his right to do that - nothing lasts forever and i am sure te decsion was made for the right business reasons - his communication skills over it were appalling which is either arrogance or he did it when he was very very angry. in terms of replacement bookies tend not to get the priceson theses sorts of issues so kit looks like Hollie. I wont be backing it mind!. |
|
By:
Loyal seems to have a grip on things. Of course no mention of the flaming row JG and FD had in the weighing room. And of course from all of the horses he has ridden he knows FD rode a bad race on a horse narrowly beaten who the majority of punters believed couldn't win. It is likely Stradivarius, who everyone knows is a thinker, will have a chance to redeem himself with a new jockey aboard, in the Goodwood Cup.
I was a real fan of Gosden's but this is shallow. I now personally think Gosden thinks he is the reason for all successes and it has nothing to do with the jockey. Best he moves on. He can spend his retirement knowing that when the challenge came to stand together he ran for the hills. This is what he will be remembered for in his dotage. |
|
By:
Just heard on the news that the Queen is back riding again.
Maybe the old duck could ride her own horses with the Gosdens. |
|
By:
Yes, we're being asked to believe that her maj, who didn't feel up to riding in a carriage for the jubilee or royal ascot, is back riding horses
![]() Back on topic, there is a relatively recent example of an apprentice being given a "top job" - Colin Keane for Ger Lyons. Probably raised a few eyebrows at the time, but fair play to Ger, evidently a very good judge of jockeys! So I'm not ruling out Benny ![]() |
|
By:
I reckon Frankie's business manager will be picking up a lot of new clients after his input in this
|
|
By:
James Doyle is on a hiding to nothing. If given the post his retainer with the best parent of Dubai will be history; if not he'd be considered by most 2nd to Hollie!
I'm sure Bin Suroor and AOB, and his boys will use Dettori more if Clarehaven does have a new stable jockeys. |
|
By:
Captain Bob from Yarmouth just asked Hollie if she had anything to say about the Gosden situation but she said 'no comment' and blushed profusely. Maybe her self consciousness was a sign that she's been given the nod?
