Wonder if ITV will slate him, because it is totally unprofessional.

ITV have to show the replay. Kicked out the stalls with both hands on the reins with the hood still on

Certain he just forgot

Much as I admire Dettori., it's time for Gosden to bring Benoit into the limelight. Yes, he was a naughty lad but I think (hope) he has learnt and done his share of riding round the gaff tracks to show that he's ready

Clown show aside................it should be a stipulation that all hoods MUST be off before the stalls are opened. It's not rocket science.

We live in the only country that allows a horse to be blindfolded as the stalls open. The blind is supposed to be pulled off using the strap and ,yes,Frankie fumbled. He's not the first jock to have
this happen and won't be the last until this stupid situation isn't changed.

Best racing in the World! HA!

Only one person to blame, John Gosden. Train the horse to load without a hood.

He didn't try to take it off until the stalls opened. He forgot.

He obviously did try to take it off before the stalls opened, and his timing first attempt) is perfect. The question is whether he should have used the handle/strap thing, and not the hood base.
By:
truehoncho
When: 15 Jun 22 18:32
No he didn't. His hands were on the horses neck after the stalls were open. He may have miss timed it but I think he forgot.

if u watch the stalls cam his hand is on the hood on the horses neck, he pulls it from the base (as per daryls comment above), it appears to snag maybe on the bridle, he then has another go but by now they've gone

He has a big couple of days, he's on some very fancied horse's for Johnny G... can't afford anymore poor judgements, or, I fear it could be the parting of the ways !

You just have to watch the replay. I think he got it wrong, panicked and it may have stuck in his rush to redeem the situation. I have a screen shot of him sat with his hands on the horses neck after the stalls opened clearly not anywhere near the hood. It was pilot error.
