Lot of Drug dealers in Ireland laundering their cash through bookies, staking 10K a day in cash  across a few shops to get back 9K or 10K by cheque .Like everything else drugs have destroyed the way things were .

Well cops should do their jobs and catch the drug dealers red handed instead of this guessing game.
At the moment, if an actual dealer is refused a bet they can just move on and continue dealing.  The scum is still on the streets, while law abiding betting shop customers are punished.

Too many established people are involved in it, and many in very high places, Marksman in my view.  It couldn;t thrive let alone survive as a business otherwise.

how do you bet 10k in cash and guarantee a 4/5 winner please?

once again common sense flees the building, if you bet £1 at 200/1 you are surely not laundering drug profits £1 at a time, if you bet £2000 at 1/4 you could be.

Back all 5 horses in a 5 runner race at best prices across 3 firms and stake accordingly.

And the fines for allowing money laundering in your business are........ pretty severe imho.

The threat of disciplinary action hanging over Graham Bradley, Richard Guest and Norman Mason has been lifted following the conclusion of the Jockey Club's probe into the ownership history of handicap hurdler Night Fighter.

In a newspaper report published last October, the ex-German five-year-old was alleged to have been used as a vehicle for international criminals to launder drug money when, heavily backed each-way, he finished second at Market Rasen on May 5 last year.

Yesterday, the Jockey Club drew a line under the matter when they said there was "insufficient evidence" to warrant a hearing.

The October article also claimed that, during the course of the police inquiry into race-fixing, Bradley - who brokered the deal that brought the gelding to Britain - was questioned about the cashing of pounds 10,000 worth of chips at a London casino, which he indicated represented payment for a racehorse.

That horse is understood to have been Night Fighter, but the deal subsequently fell through and the horse was sold to permit-holder Mason, who employs Guest as his assistant.

Worth noting that the SP of Night Fighter in that Market Rasen race, where it was alleged to have been backed each way as a money laundering exercise, was 11/8. Which give as idea of the amount of money alleged launderers are allegedly willing to pay in such an exercise.

Went into Hills for first time in 3 odd years a couple of Friday's ago at 5PM to place bets for Saturday and tried to have £100 e/w on a 10/1 shot, would only allow me £50 e/w. On two different horses both at 6/1 I wanted a £25 e/w double and got £3 e/w. These were on their betting terminals, I approached the counter and asked them to call the bets through and they said: " We can only take next day racing bets on the machines, we cannot call them through or take them over the counter!"

Can't put basic bets online or the shops. RIP racing.

Have you been living on the moon trusty? Did you honestly think you would get those amounts on the night before?
Can you get on for those amounts online the night before? If you can well done.

It's always been the same, the later you wait the more you can get on.Now I'm not saying that is right but that is where we are and I'm not saying hills are accommodating everyone with £6K bets but you can still get a fair lump in shop, especially in the last 15mins before the off.

Apart from that the thread is about money laundering procedures and that is where the £6k process comes in .
