The 3yr old bay gelding and son of Invincible Spirit who stands at the National stud for 60,000 had to endure the cruelest cut of all before showing improvement when making a winning return to turf at Windsor over today's mile on Good to Soft 13 days ago, up 5lbs for that when he came clear with the runner up. This Good to Firm surface might even tweak out more progress with all of his Sires seven success's coming on today's GF ground. |

Chelmsford City 5-45 Soyounique 5/2 BOG The cleverly named Stuart Williams chestnut gelding SOYOUNIQUE seemed to win with a little bit up his sleeve last Saturday and is due to rise 2lbs from next week, that success was over 7f but today's 6f holds no fears with a previous win at Wolverhampton and a short head defeat at Lingfield recently with today's jockey Luke Catton seemingly bringing out the best in him. The in-form Catton who gave a wonderful ride to one of yesterday's winners can claim his full allowance today and after a busy period of late I am hoping there is enough petrol still left in the tank to pull off another career best.. |

I am hoping for the forecast heavens to open in the southwest coast of Scotland to aid the 10yr old CABOY who is a four time winner over jumps in France but 0-12 over here. Seemed to respond well to refitted cheekpieces when staying on into second over a furlong further here on good to soft last month and is only 1lb higher today..
DOUGIES DREAM came good at the fourth time of asking 15 days ago over a mile on GS when beating the in form COME ON JOHN off 61 who then came out seven days later and easily won by 3L and is now on a mark of 73. Reported to be cabbage looking at Redcar just over two weeks ago and with his Sire FAST COMPANY suited by 7f on GF it could be a good bet for Double D to get his handsome head in front once again.. |
