May I stick my head above the parapet, and compliment Thommo on one outstanding life achievement - the fact that this fraudster has managed to avoid being detained at HMP! Well done Big Fella!

That is one of the oddest things ever but it really reflects the power of tv.  The kidnappers thought of him as they saw him all the time doing the racing.
To his great credit he went.  Would any of us have gone to "parley" with the IRA?
