Rumours going around the stables will be filled up with Greyhounds and MO taking out a licence.

It's a complete shock' - Tom Dascombe stunned as Michael Owen ends partnership

https://www.racingpost.com/news/latest/tom-dascombe-and-michael-owen-
to-end-successful-partnership-in-the-new-year/527494

Is it fair to say that Andrew Black has tended to have his horses trained in other yards in recent times?

"Colin Gorman and the rest of the MHS team will naturally oversee things once Tom departs and it will be very much business as usual until we appoint Tom's replacement."

Are Betfair opening a market on who it will be?

There is a name comes to mind, an up and coming young trainer who's been doing quite well, and who has had horses sent to him by a fairly well known owner connected to MHS.

A tenuous link perhaps, but David Loughnane has been training horses for David Lowe (of Kachy fame). He's had a good year, a Royal Ascot winner and Group 2 winner in Ireland.

Currently trains around 40 miles from MHS.

That is a bit of a shock mind you i always thought Owen was a sneaky little bashtard.

Tbf, Dascombe was there for a while.

Just read that Loughnane was a pupil assistant to Dascombe at MHS, so that probably explains the DL connection.

Tom is his own man. He turned things around for Owen soon after arriving at MHS and has trained plenty of winners since. Wherever he goes next expect more of the same. Shrewd!

As for Owen? Time will tell.......................................?

Harsh decision. Does MO somehow think he should be plundering group races with his string?

any trainer who is effectively an employee is on thin ice. I happen to think that Dascombe is a good trainer but if he does not own or rent the yard he is subject to the same judgement as any other employee.

Shows you the character of Owen that he ended up at Manure as his swansong as a footie player after stealing a living at the toon on ridiculous wages - a deal that almost bankrupted the club and allowed the FCB  to impose 14 years of hell upon us CryCryCry

The fact he is on those redic adverts wiv Harry for Victor just adds to the mans glorious cv SadSadShockedShocked

hes done you a favour. mismanaged poofball clubs are the only ones foreign crooks and despots are able to buy. man city were a disaster, hence the relatively cheap acquisition by the camel-herders. they can spend as much as they like, as money means nothing and a team that was a perennial failure is suddenly a powerhouse. likewise chelsea. abramovich wanted manure but couldnt get it.

so being a badly-run club is an advantage, unfortunately. its entirely possible newcastle will be the next city, and winning the league. they dont deserve it, but money is everything. even blackburn flew high for a while on the back of what was then big money, but aint now, and they have now crashed. i dont begrudge the geezer though. it was his childhood club and he spent money he had made himself(unlike the vermin involved now who have the keys to the treasury and spend the nations wealth on their personal projects. nauseating) theyd rather buy liverpool, but know thats impossible, so newcastle become a vehicle for their 'sportswashing'. and the dopey geordies will go along with it.

meanwhile, back in the steaming sh1thole that is saudi, dozens of people are beheaded in public. s.a. was a pariah for decades, despite being a beacon of liberty by comparison.

the germans dont foreigners to buy the clubs. nor should we. one of the reasons i gave up with poofball

Where would Dascombe be now if he hadn't gone to MHS?

Made his name with 2YOs I seem to recall. He could have owned his own stables by now.

I'm getting bad karma vibes over this. Hope he does well when he goes it alone.

I wish Geordie fans would get their petted lips up from off the ground.  That would be a start to moving on to better things.  It made me laugh when Shearer slated Owen for "not putting in the sprints" for Newcastle when he had previously admitted on radio, in interview, before he became a more regular feature on the box than Ant and Dec, that latterly he had had to change his game too.  In my opinion it was own his lack of effort that got Bobby Robson the bullet!

No explanation for the comment though.
Like every pro footballer, Owen was a pro who sold his services to the highest bidder.
Unlike Freddie Shepherd who laughed at Newcastle fans for buying grossly over-priced club wear etc;
Now tell me - who is the bigger villain?
