Really likeable horse who keeps on pulling out just enough. Moonlighter looked to be travelling all over him, but where did that softie finish?
Bit of a break, and a crack at the Game Spirit? Outside of Shishkin , and Energumene , who both still have plenty to prove, this isn't a great division. He was 150/1 for the Queen Mother, but the current 66/1 still looks big to me. He is a very good jumper, straightforward, progressive and likes Cheltenham.

Same owners as Sire De Grugy for Gary, got another good un by looks of it.
Disappointing that he couldn't make the Game Spirit as I think he had every chance of winning. Of course since the original post both Shishkin and Energumene have confirmed their novice form, but I still think this horse still has a place chance.
Why even give the horse a Champion Chase entry if you were going to bottle it at the last moment? It was obvious who the opposition was going to be. Has Mullins slipped Moore a fiver? It certainly makes it much easier for Energumene on the front end. As for running in the Grand Annual it's hardly a nailed on chance, 16/1 in a 20 runner field, as opposed to 33/1 in a 9 runner field.
Presumably they are going where they think they have the best chance of winning.
Could do without the spoiling presence of For Pleasure in the race.
well done diffdrum hope ya kept the fait ,i started a thread for this one for this years champ chase on the chelt forum fingers crossed.
I wish. He tailed off last season, but they have well and truly got him back this season.

i had a similar one years back i backed silvino conte at 50s average on here for the king george ante post .......then nicholls came out and said he isnt really a kempton horse didnt run .....a year later he wins the king george

Good luck with it, he'll have to do it off an end to end gallop next time though I reckon, think that if him and the fav get hooked up then they would set it up for Edwardstone, hopefully that one will jump better early on off a stronger gallop, today he got better as the race progressed but just flattened out after making the ground up off of a stop start pace with the winner being able to save a bit.
