Ah, I see.
I suppose that's where the problem is. It's a Schroedinger's market, simultaneously opened and closed depending on the point of view of the settler. |

when they had those two out the traded value was at 163k, it's now 417k so all that money went back to peoples accounts and has now been removed again while they do whatever they are doing this time

The judges at the BHA are utterly hopeless. But, Betfair make their own problems with the fast settling nonsense. Just wait until the weigh in. Simple enough.

8.30 Kempton Tuesday: full result and race replay
A new system was brought in following the Kempton blunders, with the photo now reviewed by stewards before the official weighed-in notice is given, allowing for amendments to be made. The system had to be used as Sandown in the summer when the result of a 5f handicap was revised after the reverse mirror was found not to be straight when examined, meaning the provisional result given by the judge was incorrect. The BHA said the amended result showed the systems put in place to prevent incorrect provisional results becoming official was working. A spokesman said: "An incorrect provisional result was announced following last night's final race at Kempton. "Routine verification procedures are in place to cross-check all results prior to the announcement of the official result, which meant that the error was corrected prior to the official weighed-in announcement." |

translated - we've fcked up so many times that we have now given ourselves another few minutes to correct those fck ups before you can hang us .... obviously we've no intention of actually getting the job done properly the first time, of retraining those involved or ensuring accuracy and consistency, or removing them from the role should they fail to meet the standard required, that's far too difficult
|

By:
100% elise, surely with the technology available now,it should be easy enough to tell what won.
|
|
By:
Why do these clowns rush to give a result which they then have to correct?
In USA, even something that's won a neck takes ages. |
|
By:
they call dead-heats in the States in 2 minutes. If the judge isn't blind they are either both touching the line or they're not. If there is a discrepancy with the mirror image the rule should state the front on image shall be taken as definitive.

so they are calling the result and saying, we've not checked it it's still provisional (which it always was re weighed in); so why not check it before you call it you w@nkers? it's just more bollx from an organisation that are a laughing stock, they are trying to hide from their errors with more bureaucracy and goalpost moving , just to save their inadequate @rses the next time they feck up
