Thirsk clerk has given the ground as good , good to soft in places ,where has the rain come from to render the ground on the easy side? Asked a few locals and there has been very little or none in the last week. Anyone near track?

It rained plenty at York last Friday. May have hit Thirsk too ?
Been a shyte summer up here tbf, me lawns haven't had firm in the description all year, I'd have said they were g/s on Tuesday. Global warming eh!
Obviously had a few showers, allowing for rail movement (.56) its still roughly 1/2 a second slow per furlong judged on race 1 .Albeit not a strong race
was at my caravan near thirsk on wed and said to the wife i cant believe how soft/wet the grass was,and bits and bobs of rain since,heavy dews,damp in the air
Aye and here was me ready to give the clerk pelters for over watering.
