jamee...
i noticed a while back the 1.01 20k bloke (who always got in first) dropped to 10k... and it's been a while since i saw one go in 'immediately'... now they know you are monitoring them i suggest they have decided to just play in running with their 'advantage' coz it's easier to hide their advantage... in saying all that 1.014 secs is still probably 'getting in first' but it's less obvious than 0.3 or 0.5 secs... i know what i've seen in the past... and as i always say... why have they never cut the '1 sec delay' ? they said years ago they were looking at it yet nowt happened... why not ? |
|
By:
btw the 1.01 pink side 20k bloke (who got in in the blink of an eye) reduced to 10k after a fair amount of chat on here...
they might say they don't read the forum... it's all bull$h1t of course. |

Who can bet without the 1 second delay?
Answer BF only. Only a moron would fail to understand this Unhappy |
|
By:
hulk...
some folk will never listen... we know what we've seen in the past... it's always very interesting to me when someone comes out of the woodwork to poo poo something a bit iffy going on. |

Who in your opinion is getting these bets, unhappy?

jamee...
a Q for you... how many times has your response time been 1014ms ? NEVER for me... best i've ever had is 1082ms... 68ms is a long time if you ask me. |
|
By:
Bots will be virtually instant. Press a button and they will trigger the moment they detect the market has reopened.
There is an approx refresh rate of up to 100ms on my automation so will only be accurate to +/- 0.1s either way. |
|

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ as in 0.3 secs ? as in 0.5 secs ? i know the difference between 0.3secs and 1.014 secs jamee... i'm not having a go at you when i say that... i'm just saying i know what i've seen in the past (and i ain't the only one)... like i say it looks to me like whenever there is a bit of chit chat about photo betting and not having the 1 sec in running delay then things go quiet for a while... and like i also say it's easier to hide it during the actual race as opposed to when a market re-opens for a photo. |

Truly amazing that Jamee can detect minute movements but claimed not to notice BFLV being light years behind at Bangor recently despite having drone pics

as in 0.3 secs ? More like 0.00-0.02 ish. There's no human delay as the bot can be set during suspension. As soon as the bot detects the market has reopened the trade will be triggered. It will be interesting to compare with my data next time someone claims they saw the delay beaten in a photo. |
|

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- but it should still be subjected to the '1 sec in running delay' delay jamee right ? |
|
By:
and in reality the '1 sec in running delay' is more like 1100ms (well it is for me at least)...
yet jamee has detected one at 1014ms... alot can happen in 86ms imv. |
|
By:
You could expect a bot triggered trade to hit the market as quickly as 1.01 to 1.02 secs after the market reopens for a photo.
As i said, my timing could be 0.1s out either way so you can't read too much into the 100th secs. |
|
By:
ive seen dozens of photos,1 today, the instant the market opens there a lump in the pink...not 1 sec later.

and in reality the '1 sec in running delay' is more like 1100ms (well it is for me at least)... You're right Hibby. I've been testing various in-play markets this evening and it takes about 100ms for an order to be processed and appear in the market. This seems to be in addition to the set in-play delay, so you would expect an in-play horse race trade to take about 1.1 secs to appear. |
|
By:
so how did the one you detected beat the system by 86ms jamee ?
might not sound a lot but it is imv... a Q for you jamee... if you had an in-built advantage how much of an advantage would you want ? a HUGE one which makes it obvious you have a HUGE advantage ? or a small one which makes it more difficult to spot ? and at the end of the day it adds up to the same thing... you are FIRST in the queue. |
|
By:
small advantage for photos (makes it hard to spot)...
big advantage for normal in play (pretty much impossible to spot)... as Mr.Hunt would say... a great cistern. |

so how did the one you detected beat the system by 86ms jamee ? I've said several times that my timing could be out by 0.1 secs either way. My data is only accurate enough to establish whether people are able to bypass the whole delay for a photo finish. But thinking about how Betfair batch and queue orders, it's conceivable that from the standing start of a market unsuspending those using VPS geographically close the Betfair servers might get processed first, thus minimising their process time. I know Bet Angel VPS is based as close as possible to Betfair servers for example. |

Without the one second delay except for BF there would be no horse racing In Running as BF would be picked off.
The in running liquidity is paper thin except for the bigger meetings. It really is as simple as that UnhappyHibby |

why have they never cut the '1 sec delay' ? they said years ago they were looking at it yet nowt happened... why not ? years ago betfair started a thread asking for opinions from users about removing the 1 second delay . about 95% of people were in favour . they then dropped the idea. i asked someone at betfair why they didn't go ahead and remove it since that is what most people want and there reply was along the lines of "the market makers do not want it removed . no market makers no liquidity" |
|
By:
The delay is clearly for the benefit of BF.
There is a 5 second delay I/R on Snooker with pitiful liquidity. Any bets submitted are spotted and offers disappear before getting matched. It's not rocket science merely a fact of life |
|
By:
no delay and they wudnt be able to say oh heres rico offering 1000 and say fck rico heres 20 bets at 2p and rest at 1000.

Hulk,I have known it for years. However,BF are running a business not a charity.
The facts are, most of the In Runners have been carried via PC and the minnows being swallowed by the sharks. Nobody is forced to bet In Running |
