Move racing back, last race 730, then straight on to football
I was there for that 626, was very tiring that day.
the thought of one blue blood falling over on the bend will mean there is zero chance of racing today.

At least if today is off there won’t be the problem Cheltenham had on windy Wednesday the pubs running out beer and food and the massage parlours having ques outside,as there is only a small attendance.
The ground when paaen won the gold cup was atrocious but as already stated times have changed.
Maybe what is called the inner flat course can be brought into play if rain is easing at the course however it's still pouring here. The track outside my house is under water ;haven't seen it so bad in 40 years !

Raining heavy again now quite surprised the price of on is lengthening
Following 26mm rain since racing yesterday and with a few false patches of ground which means the ability to race may be marginal an inspection has been called for 12.45. We are also looking at options to re-align the rail to avoid these areas.

The BF market is essentially for one race to be run - I wouldn't put it past them to run the opener and then abandon.
If the Meeting was called off (both days) I believe that Gosdens would be top trainers, wonder would winners get paid or would they say the meeting was not finished?

Nothing to stop this being abandoned during racing if it keeps raining or right up to the off.

why not 5 races today on the straight course and 9 tomorrow?

Inspection complete. Just have to wait for consultation between jocks and trainers then to ask the horses if they think it's ok.
They are going back to discuss. I would say we know however, give it another minutes and another few, whilst sitting in the dry laughing.
Got to love racing, not one horse has been consulted........not one.

Wow bucketing down now, is this the risk someone was willing to take on laying so late?
Had to take some of the 1.05 up to 1.10 to go ahead, suprised not 1.01 yet. Once it got 2pm you knew at least one race to be run, seems odd. Would have backed it earlier, however, just one race?
