Never sat on a horse ,but why go outside of a horse jumping out to the right seems pretty obvious to do the opposite.

Correct Penzance , The greatest Grand National story ever produced Aldaniti & a movie to follow , but if John Thorne had let Francome ride Spartan Missile the story would almost certainly never have happened.

From a betting perspective you can make far more from sub standard jockeys than great riders bearing in mind the market on here is generally very accurate with exposed fields so factors in elements the rest of the world already know in advance.

Good luck chaps   Happy

Hard to believe that he beat 2 of the best amature riders in the sport at Punchestown less than a month ago. I backed the second, and on the run-in I thought it was a formality for P Mullins to prove the stronger in the finish.

1st 3. Bob And Co  (FR) 3/1
Mr David Maxwell 5
Paul Nicholls
1111 ht    –    –    142    –
Midfield, chased leaders when mistake 9th, mistake 5 out, headway 4 out, went second going okay 3 out, soon challenging and switched left, joined leader towards near side 2 out, ridden briefly after 2 out, pushed along run-in, led post (op 11/4) nse.

2nd 2. Billaway  (IRE) 9/4F
Mr P W Mullins
W P Mullins
122    –    –    142    –
Led narrowly or disputed lead, not fluent 11th, led clearly 5 out, faced challenge going okay after 3 out, joined 2 out, soon pushed along towards far side, ridden after last, headed post

3rd 13. Staker Wallace  (IRE) 5/1
Mr Derek O'Connor

Although a fan of Maxwell, having had lumped on Bob and Co at Punchestown, I have to agree that ride was inexplicable, especially having switched to the inside early on behind the right-jumping winner. To then switch back to its outside when he could have sent Tiger cear on the inside three out was just plain daft! Has David given any explanation?  no chance "all is wonderful with Racing" Fitzy will ask the hard question - at least megamouth  Chapman had he been on course would not have spared the Old Corinthian's feelings!

True,I would never put anything on one of his mounts because of his lack of ability but he has every right to if he wants to.

I would love the thrill of riding my own horses over fences.

Billaway wants to win less than Maxwell so don't praise that ride.. I personally lay him at odds on regularly and the shorter the better, paid for a golfing holiday in Porto Santo Madeira, lucky jubbly....as the late great Arfur Daley said..the world is full of mugs, you just need to find one
