the week going to be a match up between henry de bromhead and w mullins many darts. envoi allen v monkfish,coolreevy,franco de port. minello indo v al boum photo,melon,kemboy,easy game. not many entries in the grade 1 races,going to be small fields.  |

Chase and Hurdle, Bumper Course - GOOD TO YIELDING (Watering ongoing to maintain) Cross Country Course - GOOD TO FIRM Forecast: Dry and settled over the coming days and into next week. --------------------------------------- Looks like the horses who like a decent cut in the ground will be at a disadvantage looking at the weather forecast for the next few days. |

after last years was cancelled i thought i would push the boat out this year and booked the k club who could have thought 12 months on there would be no crowds ?
lawlors hotel have spent fortunes on improving the hotel and have now missed two festivals and the way things are over there a third is not a big price. at least we have 5 great days to watch on the tv which is more than last year and its good to see some entries from the uk. 2 aintrees 2 punchestowns 2 guineas 2 chesters 2 dantes, epsom and royal ascot hardly any racing fans this year what a nightmare |

Well I look forward to it every year, but each to one's own. You can salivate over the top class racing from Pontefract and Redcar next week, while most of us will be watching the grade 1s from Punchestown!!

My only criticism of Punchestown is it would work better as a 4 day meeting. Not as silly as the Galway meeting which goes on for a week and yes it can have an end of season feel to it. More competitive this year. Some UK owner and trainers finally woken up to the prize money on offer in Ireland. Also, you do tend to find what look like some obvious ones who then don't have their A game for Punchestown after Cheltenham/Aintree exertions. No surprise there's a few coming over.
Mullins brought his A game to Christmas, the DRF, and Cheltenham. Can he, again? I reckon so. And once the jumps are over, Guineas weekend. Bring it on. |

add in its a 50 min bus ride from dublin /middle of nowhere /taxi ride from nass on windy country rds no chance of drink in town and making your way to course an hour before racing,and worst of all theres bars/tents.eateries everywhere till you try to get in one its like the world cup of corporate catering

its a taxi ride away on country roads so unless you leave for track hrs early you get bumper to bumper jams,locals on here said you can walk there but on my visit seemed miles away,obviously locals will no the shortcuts

Naas used to be a brilliant night out during the days of the 3 day festival.....3 days was enough!!!! and it`s all gone very corporate now, like most things. But many happy memories of our trips over there for many many years

Google maps says about 3.5 miles and just over an hour to walk . Doable in nice weather I suppose.
