"is unlawfully killed Murder ? Surely murder is a premeditated action with a motive. Whatever he is guilty off I do not regard it as murder. The other cops standing around are they being charged with anything ? Accomplices or accessories ?

The chap should get a medal not a jail sentence . Hopefully he gets off , and he should too . I’d do the same myself if I was confronted by this type of vermin every day of the week . Ok he clearly didn’t want to kill him but he had to use force to keep him penned down , the final outcome was not what the police officer had wanted obviously, but he had to keep this head case on the ground for his own safety and the safety of his colleagues.

I think most would agree posy,it is a stitch up on a scale rarely seen,even in America.They howl about human rights and political prisoners in China etc and yet they are doing exactly the same.The DA's office have added the 3rd degree murder charge and manslaughter as they are desperate for a conviction of any kind.

The worst of it is they do not have to prove intent which itself is a travesty,the only chance of a jury "Not Guilty" is if the cause of death can be ascribed to the decedents pre existing condition and proved by experts.Even then no guarantee,no such thing as a fair trial in the US,usually down to how much you can afford to pay for defence.

Exactly , it’s easy to be so righteous from your home . If you were staring down the likes of chicken George every day of the week , you mightn’t be so anxious to look after his human rights .

1/33 guilty on murder 2nd degree imo. Officer was not doing it for his or his colleagues safety at all. Even when told the guy wasnt breathing he just kept on, like a animal out of control. Thats the police in the 21st century though

george floyd could well have died of other things rather than by the copper but there is ZERO chance of anything bar a guilty verdict...i do agree this will not be a fair trial.....the video evidence will trump any medical evidence

glentoboy...the difference between us is i think the copper is guilty of no more than manslaughter but you think he should get a commendation medal for bravery and a nice fat pension

Watched some 11kv,so far the witnesses seem as dodgy as the decedent and as genuine as fake tan?

That is normal in a US trial 11KV,they are coached and scripted.By the defence as well as the prosecutors,the only chance of being cleared completely is the medical experts for the defence being able to prove the cause of death was anything other than the officers actions.

All this talk of Racism , very little mention that a Black officer stood by while George was being restrained ,Had it been the Black officer Kueng on top of George would we even be at this Point ,Sacked Plea deal and Job would have been done , Chauvin accepted a 10 year plea deal ,not good enough Trial went ahead ...If he gets done for manslaughter he wont be doing 10 years IMVHO.
