I didn't watch it apart from what was on the news but loved the expressions of surprise on Oprah's face at the supposed racist remarks that Harry and Megan put in different time frames.

Just this forum, the rest of the country love them both deeply.

Had to look up "gammon" on wikipedia;

In 2018, it became particularly known as a term to describe either those on the political right or those who supported Brexit.[1][4] There is considerable debate over whether, due to its origins as a reference to skin color, the term is racist.

We'll have none of that here Duncan MischiefCool

quite telling through all the media maelstorm and also her poor mental health and desire for peace and freedom

she found the time to catch up with GMB and piers take , and to also register a complaint to ITV

the sheer vanity expressed when someone , like them , gave opinion she didnt agree with

couple of weeks ago i wathced harry prance around with james corden , a "look at me im an average joe " clip where he sang and knocked a randoms house to use toilet , obv an excersise to keep himself out of the spotlight Laugh

before playing the wronged victim days later on ophra

royals just as bad tbh , are they really our moral compass , to me the institution looks more dated and sadder by the day

The chief executive of itv was formerly the chief executive of the guardian group. Took over in 2018. The effect this has had on itv decision making and output is palpable.

This is exactly what has happened. Totally staged by PM. He's away to take up anchor at an alternative news channel supposedly.

Nothing to do with cancel culture or whatever it is called by all about PM's ego and money. He will make more from his new show
just like the top gear boys when they left bbc

and I agree with PM in this case with Harry and Meghan, he's been correct in what he has been saying

Sacking nowadays seems to a career move.
Football managers and "controversial" celebrities especially
Being sacked in the past was a stigma. Meant you weren't very good at your job.
Piers was grinning ear to ear this morning! Funny old world Cool

What do you understand by the term cancel culture, james?

still

very brave and defiant to call bull on the interview and fly in the face of the woke brigade  , a clash that will run and increase as time passes

im fairly sure morgan is the type not to rest until he is seen to be correct , i hope megan has no skeletons tbh

I thought it was some kind of term for middle aged white people getting replaced by minorities but make no apologies for not keeping
up with all these new terms that come out every other day...woke etc

anyway, for anyone who thinks PM didnt have it planned

It was announced last year that a Rupert Murdoch venture called News UK TV had received the go-ahead by Ofcom to start broadcasting whenever it is ready.

In December, it was reported that viewers can expect big-name presenters on the channel, with Piers' name linked alongside the likes of The Apprentice host - and his frenemy - Lord Sugar.

He had even been spotted in the company's headquarters, where the studio will be.

Another new channel that's being backed by Scottish journalist Andrew Neil could be a potential destination.

GB News revealed its all-male team for political coverage for the new round-the-clock news channel, but could Piers join the presenting team alongside Dan Wootton?

Not a good career move for him so it's tricky negotiating the victim minefield

He's had a better offer and made himself the centre of attention ....again with a so called 'walk off'

Absolute bolocks. If he had nothing else lined up he'd still be on there this morning......and again he was correct in what he's said on this

It's not really a new term. Typically it means attempting to remove people whose views/opinions you disagree with from a shared platform. That could be any shared platform, eg a forum, tv show or workplace.

Whether Morgan orchestrated it himself (unlikely), it was still cancel culture in evidence. It has nothing to do with minorities in your implication of the word.

.................

Didn't know that, it explains why they are so intent on virtue signalling content these days.

He walked off, As sparrow said there's been no sacking. All this has done is bumped up his already massive profile and ego
and put him right where he wants to be, centre of attention. Now for his new role and bigger salary.

this is what happened. he may well have agreed to leave voluntarily, but the attempt to remove him from the platform still occurred.

So what were his options:

1) Apologise live on air and keep his job

2) ?

But as you say, not a sacking as such

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for the gammons- and there was no one left to speak for me.

I posted on an Andrew Sachs youtube clip where he tried to explain how he still had faith following the Holocaust.

I said I found it deeply offensive that you are navel gazing about a god who didnt give 2 fooks about you and those of my grandfather's generation who didnt give 2 fooks about god actually did the saving.
