I don't expect that Davy was asked about Michael O'Learys suggestion that he should have retired? I missed Luck this morning but will catch up later.

hopefully the horse he hit has a thicker skin than him . come on davy , as a jockey a legend . but this was ages ago and you still speak to mr o 'leary i suspect despite the cup of tea stuff . on here racing  press are talked about ' slurping gravy ' but if this is typical then no wonder no one calls anything out .

Why did Luck have Millington on the programme?

Millington adds nothing to the conversation and it is still a mystery how he ever rose to be editor of the RP.

Did Davy let you down a few times G. Hall?

wd davy, we've all wished we could ignore over the years - his love of birchy, and vanilla approach to racing journalism etc etc

Millington adds nothing to the conversation and it is still a mystery how he ever rose to be editor of the RP. by under playing the shenanigans in his paymasters domain - al zarooni, woman mysteriously disappearing off the streets of cambridge, and so on, he made a very late play on bookies restrictions but it was a token gesture, the days of campaigning racing journalism are long gone

Millington is a clever guy and does know the game and how you could say he added nothing to the programme is just ridiculous.

Wasn't his first job a cleaner at Catford dogs?

Sorry I don't agree he knows the game inside out, comes across as a barrow boy

Nothing to do with his riding cloone.

No particular fan of Millington but was pleased to see him on yesterday,a vast improvement on the likes of Channing.
By:
Gordon63
When: 15 Feb 21 12:49
channing tends to waffle a bit although minor league compared to yates, but he has insight on racing/markets/betting that is way over what millington ever offered

Bruce employed Mr Birch, that is all you need to know about him.

When: 15 Feb 21 13:09
In business the boss usually surrounds himself with people who are not a threat to him. He knew what he was doing with birchy
By:
Gordon63
When: 15 Feb 21 13:17
the only threat posed by birchy was to your wallet....
By:

When: 15 Feb 21 13:17
Channing has very little racing knowledge imo, I'm sure he's very good on poker etc but i'ts a racing programme at the end of the day, anyone can go on and waffle about a few bets on Saturday's racing and that's about what you get with him when it comes to racing, always looks as though he's just been dragged through a hedge backwards too,but anyhow most of them are no doubt mates of Luck hence how they get the gig, good luck to them.
By:

When: 15 Feb 21 13:32
ribero1 - channing has a very good knowledge of racing as anyone who has seen his contribution to the cottage industry that is cheltenham preview nights will testify, his tendency to 'waffle' reminds me of highly intelligent guys I've worked with in the past, their brain goes two gears quicker than their mouth which is in fact preferable to the other way round

No prob Gordon, but from what i've seen of him disagree, good luck.

Russell threw his toys out of the pram. Guilty of punching a horse. It was reported. No fan of Bruce either.
