Bookies checking their rules.

Rule 9518, bets for Sunday racing must be placed 72 hours before the race. Bet accepted in error, here's your stake money back.

I hope that Barney Curley's behind this gamble, I admire the man and I'd love to know that he'd done it again. He's a good man who is absolutely dedicated to his African charity and like all of us, he loves to get one over on the enemy.

They must have each had multiple windows up on their PC with the betting slips from each bookie and with military like precision placed their bets in unison....5....4....3....2....1....Click!

I’ve not read it all, but has anybody on here backed the treble at decent odds?

Not really the point, Dealer. What if every low/mid grade horse was campaigned like said 3 horses have been, would you still play the game?

Maybe the treble backers will lay Gallahers Cross to 5s before the off.

Got to be a fix, some of the money was on a 5 timer, the 3 horses, Wloves draw and Brigton Women to win...allegedly.

You're right dealer, I noticed that the forum's idiot called them thieving c***s, he doesn't want the bookmakers to pay out! He'd want to be paid out though, wouldn't you uncle!

Race 1 - 1:25pm. THE bet365 NOVICES' HANDICAP STEEPLE CHASE (CLASS 4) (GBB RACE)
At the request of the Integrity Department of the British Horseracing Authority, the connections of FIRE
AWAY (IRE) were interviewed by the Stewards before this race and asked to provide information
regarding the selection of the race for the gelding, their expectations for today and the riding instructions
given. Their comments were noted. Following the race, Craig Nichol reported that ON A PROMISE (IRE), which was pulled up, was never.....

I can understand why connections comments would not be published pre-race, but why are they not published after the race?  There is no reason why their response to questions should not be put in the public domain. I thought the BHA were in favour of openness and transparency.

Good luck to then, I hope this third one cops for them. Bookies will not take a half decent bet know wonder people have pull strokes like this.

I just don't see how this is a good thing for Racing when a horse that no one on here could possibly back comes back from the dead to win a race. As for bookmakers I couldn't care less if they went bankrupt tomorrow.

I've had one screenshot sent to me showing a bet returning £23k

WP this type of gamble happens once every 3 or 4 years,  take an incredible amount of patience, money and you need an unbelievable amount of luck.
I don't have a problem with this type of gamble to be honest but that's only my opinion

I'm hoping it wins, but history tells me that joe public always get's stiffed with these coups. So anybody trying to buy money will end up broke.

Real news is the way the bookies manipulated the 2:35 betting market at Southwell for a huge overround when they shortened the 2nd leg of the gamble. They can't be trusted.

The only problem I have here, if we accept this as a good honest coup, then we have to do it with every coup, and stop whining
the next time one comes in.

No problem with connections landing gambles but its the way that all 3 have been campaigned. I wonder who makes up the "The Welly Wobblers Club" Cue a horse named Welly Wobbler coming to a racecourse near you, once they've been paid out.
