Rediculous, where was the sun in previous years, absolutely pathetic, Native River would have won easy if the fences had been in up the straight.

It spoiled a (potentially) great race

Taking jumps out ruins a race generally (it produced a good finish there but you can't take the form seriously), but I do have sympathy for the jockeys. I can't see a thing when driving into the sun and it must be terrible for them too.

changes the dynamics of your bet if you're already on.  be like having a bet on the gold cup, then hearing they're running it over a mile & a half b'cos of the sun.  you'd be like, ok, can i get my money back.

Correct Tony. Just another example of the total contempt racing authorities have for punters. Same with horses getting loose  being allowed to run.

Could a horse be withdrawn with no penalties as the conditions have changed?
