Two miles 5 furlongs with 7 runners for £4000. The lowest rated on hurdle or previous chase form is Firak on OR 124 but that looks conservative. The market is heavily skewed towards Harry Senior and Happygolucky, both having their first run since the Cheltenham Festival. I make the race much more open. Earth Moor was another decent hurdler but despite a winner yesterday, Hobbs yard is still not firing and I prefer Paint the Clouds who has a lot of chasing experience including a second to a very good horse in Grand Sancy at Chepstow. Black Kalanisi and Thomas McDonagh are not out of it either so it should be an informative contest. I might have an in running bet on Firak if he jumps the first two fences well.
Agree with that. I think that with Kim Bailey in such good form that Happygolucky is a worthy favourite but no value against 6 rivals that all have ability. Stratford is a sharp track so it will be worth having a look at them before the race.

Yet again a Hobbs horse stopped to nothing after going well for a while. My analysis was about right. Happygolucky the best horse and was fit enough. I backed and laid Paint the Dream and so broke even. He briefly looked the winner but is very one paced. Firak hit the first and was novicey all the way. Harry Senior broke down badly. The 2 outsiders ran well enough to win nice races, particularly Black Kalanisi who was ridden to get round.
