I looked at the winner before the race. It had decent form, but hadn't run in ages and there was no money for it, even in the place markets. As such, I didn't back it.
The manner of the win reminded me of Limestone Lad in his pomp. But what were the other jockeys thinking?

The Stewards interviewed all riders in this race with the exception of Mr. T. Power Roche, rider of Costalotmore placed first, after it appeared the winner took a big lead early on which the animal maintained to the line. 39 lengths win and on the bridle ....... you can only imagine what owners of the other runners must have felt and perhaps said to their trainer and jockey.
