Unless they went on Wednesday 9th, they would not have been admitted to the course unless they were owners. The whole story is a disgrace and clearly aimed at stopping racing. In any case the risk in most pubs is 100 times greater than in a racecourse. Mty wife and I just had 4 days away in rural Devon and had our first (and last) indoor catered meal since March. We didn't feel comfortable and the restaurant made no attempt to take our contact details. We had a couple of outdoor lunches which were fine. One way systems, names and telephone taken, everyone wore masks until seated and well spaced outdoor tables. It only takes a few establishments who ignore the rules and off it goes.

just a mis-understanding,an annual event were they usually go to the races but this time they couldnt but still went to doncaster, pretty much what we will be doing at most cheltenham meetings with hotels already booked, the courses should hope that people dont enjoy it too much not going to the course because they may not ever come back
